    COCO COIR Reintroducing myself

    Hello! Long time no see/posting!

I've been away since 2022, life got busy and I didn't grow anything since. My state recently legalized recreational cannabis in 2023 and is still working on opening dispensaries. We are allowed to grow up to 8 plants with 4 flowering at one time and can personally have in possession up to 2lbs.

So I started a grow in November and decided to try using Coco Coir as my medium. I also took the Homegrow Masterclass offered by Sirius & Nebula. I've never grown in this medium before and am not having a very successful grow. I've figured out some of the mistakes I've made and am at this point just riding out the final weeks of flower until harvest. I must say I probably won't use this method again. So I'm starting a new grow with soil. The strains I have going that are flowering are: 2 Big bud (photoperiod) and one Sour Diesel (autoflower) that is nearly ready to harvest. My new grow strains are: 1 Acupulco Gold, 1 Sour Diesel (both autoflower) and 1 Gorilla Glue-not sure if it's auto or photo, they were free seeds with my order of the other two. And a few tomato seedlings thrown in that my son gave me.
Anyway, not necessarily looking for advice yet, but will gladly accept it! Hope everyone is happily growing! 😊

Ps: it's been so long since I posted-hopefully the pictures come through okay!

Welcome back. Glad the voters in your state saw the light. Two LB's in possession is great. I'm limited to 8 OZ's.

Chopped the Sour Diesel today, it was time 😌

Still a bit to go with the 2 big buds. I'm thinking one will be ready before the other with the way things are looking.

The new grows are coming along much better...except for the sour diesel this time. Not sure why it's like this. I wanted to pull it and replant, but my fiance wants me to let it be and see what it does.

Update on Sour Diesel following harvest:
It is currently in week 2 of curing in a Mason jar, hanging on to about 60-61 humidity with a 62 rh boveda pack. We've of course couldn't wait to try some this weekend-it's really close!

Yesterday I harvested one of the Big Buds-tricomes were mostly cloudy with some amber and I couldn't wait anymore because I wanted to move things around in the tents. I trimmed it up pretty good I hope and took some of the smaller buds off to dry on a cookie sheet.

Now with only one plant in flower (big bud #2-doing much better than #1) I moved it to the small tent to finish up.

The big tent (3×6) now holds the new grow in soil now. Acupulco Gold is the large autoflower. Gorilla Glue is the bushy one which I'm fairly certain is a photo-it came as free seeds with the autoflowers and wasn't clearly marked. Then I got some more starting 😊

Can't wait for summer so I can do a grow outside too! Knew some people who grew outside last summer and they had amazing results!

Hey TenTonBrick. Looking good. How do you like the SF Se3000? Does it run really hot for you? Seems to for me.

HiBowhunterwoody. it does seem to run hot. I have not even put it at 100% yet either. I don't have the exhaust fan at full power just cycling on & off 30mins on 10 off. I still end up vening the tent more during the day. Can't imagine how hot it would be at 100! Been keeping it low for the seedlings right now 55%.

Yea, I'm in the same boat. Dealing with heat, humidity, and enough light. I think I had the light too high on this last grow I'm finishing now and stunted it. Still learning the light.
