Help me figure this out farmers!

Hey people whatsupp how you guys doing?
i have some concerns regarding my grow. The plants they look shit, their leaves are droopy wil be posting pictures you can have a look in that. Some of the leaves are yellow even though im feeding them everyday as im growing in coco coir. What problem can i be facing over here. Secondly the new growth is extremely curled up. The humidity here in karachi pakistan touches above 90%. Im having thoughts that might be the problem i dont know. Or maybe i watered them a little more than usual. What is happening and why is my grow looking so bad i dont have an idea can anybody rule it out.

Hey zach, Karachi that's quite the unusual location on this forum, welcome here!
pics are a must if you can do that safely. Feeding everyday and high humidity will cause drooping for sure. Outdoors grow? Indoors? Nutrients? Lights? Ph? Anything you can tell us will help out if you can't post pics.

Hybrid grow. Using Cfls. Will upload the picture of the fert. I feed the plants phed water of around 5.

    Yeah, Zack...
from what I have found is yellowing leafs from the bottom up is nitrogen def..
but if your feeding every day. then I'm sure there getting nitrogen and
it may be cuz your ph is off and they cant absorb the nuts you giving them.
and curling new growth may be cuz your over watering. I'm no expert on this by any means.
but first thing is to get your ph right ..
that's number one. then see if they start looking healthier before adding more nuts.
you mite have to let them dry up a bit in order to fix ph, specialy if you've been watering every day...

if any one disagree's with what I said.
you may want to take there advice over mine..
like I said .. I'm just a student in the grow world.

Hmm i have been watering them everyday with the PH of the water being 5. Which includes nuts.

with humidity that high it stands to reason that they will absorb a lot of moisture from the air, you surely don't need to feed and water everyday that's for sure. But I am not an expert on this thats for sure. But that's my take on it.

Should i water every alternate day or just reduce the amount of water going in?

    #5
    Yeah I agree with sonnyhad.
    try getting you humidity down.
mine seem ta do well at 40 ta 50%.
during budding I'd stay closer ta 40 to avoid bud rot

You need to water/feed when they need it only. Read nebula tutorials if you haven't yet, tons of info. A dehumidifier works best, the biggest you can afford with rh like these. Ideal rh in flower 35-40% and 45-70% in veg, aim for that

from your pic's it looks like your growing in pro mix???
or a mix of some kind anyway..

pro mix holds a ton of water. which is what I use and I find my self water once a week, maybe a little sooner jus cuz there getting bigger. but they can go quite long before water....
if ya dont have a 3 way soil meter that ya stick in the dirt.
stick your finger in the dirt . should be dry up to 1
rst knuckle before more water or pick it up.. if it feels
heavy no water. if it's light my use a drink

are these pics for the most part bottom leafs/older growth??
if so I'm gona guess nitrogen def.
but like I said.... before dosing them with more nitrogen.
get your PH adjusted closer ta 6 or 6.3 in a soil mix.
get your self a 3 way soil meter it reads PH/MOISTER/& LIGHT. just stab it in your root ball with out braking any of corse. at the same time your aerating your roots
real cheap . 10- 12 bucks any hardwhare store.
hydro store will have them but they jack up everything.
stay away from them rip offs when ever posibble

Well yeah, I mean,I'm sure it's all in there. So Im thinking it's not lack of nut's . im thinking that your PH at 5 is to acidic for your plants to absorb the food and they are actually locking out nutes......
you can feed and feed and feed.
if PH is not right they can't eat...
a PH of 5 would be better suited for hydroponics I think.
but in dirt 6-6.3 is better

I'm haveing a hard time keeping mine down from 7....
I mix everything and a just to 6.
and they slowly shoot back up ta 7..
I was getting bronze spots and a bit of yellowing. but I new they had nuts cuz I gave it to them.
so had ta be something els.
started playing with PH within a week.
          they started absorbing nutes better
new growth sprouting all over the place. nice green and lush...
old burnt growth died but I got them figured out now and there f*** thriving....

          all because of PH

Im feeding them 5. I will have to test the run off water for the PH of the plants. But thats a bad idea to do that right now as im already battling high humidity and watering them so much would just make em worse. Im not growing in soil its coco coir.

          #11
So your saying im facing problems of PH. Anything other than that? High humidity which has curled the new growth? You saw the leaves yellow burnt edges thats because of ph?

I'm not sure what causes new growth ta curl.
I've seen a little of that in my own plants before
I know over watering will make them look droopy and do wierd things.

and yes if your humidity is at 90%
ya gota bring that down asap..closer ta 50%..

How do i do that? Remember my grow is only under the light for 6 hours and rest of the time its outdoors.

when it comes to coco coir...
I've never used that before so I can't be sure about The right PH for that. just that 5 sounds low
but I'm sure if you Google it and do some research, can't be to hard to get an answer...

when I have qwestions, I always try to get at least 3 diffrent saurces to agree with the same snswer...

When using coco coir the pH range is 5.5-6.5, you want to shoot for as close to 6 as possible. I'm new at this as well, growing in a 70/30 coco perlite mix. I've found that the experience growers here all recommend pH 6 and the closer to 6 my pH is, the healthier my plants look. I generally water every 3rd day.
Failure is an opportunity for improvement!!

and Zack, if your takeine them outside.
and humidity is high like that outdoors.
then there's not much you can do except grow them indoor . Only then can you control the enviorment.
