    HELP! Mites

I found webs this morning( day of harvest ). Used the microscope and saw them little bastards. If I cure as usual will the mites die?

I smoke dope, so bear with me. I have no idea if this will work but a little research suggests it might be a winner.
Put the offended drugs in some sort of container with dry ice in a sock.
A challenge will be to make sure whatever container you use does not blow up from the off-gassing DI. I do not know if DI will make a closed container explode from the pressure of off-gassing, just a thought. But the container has to be tight enough for the DI to create at least enough positive pressure to keep oxygen from getting in. The CO2 will suffocate the bugs. Feel me?
I have the vacuum chamber so this makes much more sense. It is nigh on impossible for me to create a vacuum good enough to kill little bastards like spider mites. But it is not impossible to fill a vacuum chamber, or some sort of air-tight container with an inert gas like argon.
So, I guess I'm high and talking about gassing bugs is what it comes down to. Here's a picture of the type of VC and pump I use. Ignore the brand. It was the first usable picture I could find.

9:1 ratio of Alchol (99%) preferred to water will kill them on the spot. It will effect the terps but a small price to pay and follow up with 1 Tbs bleach to 1 gallon water in a few days just be sure you hold the plant up side down to spray the back side of the leaves.

You probably want to clean the area and spray it to but I would look for something more aggressive like bug spray....if you can..

I have been using this when needed for a while...Do not rinse the plants off.

          Good Luck

This is the first time I have heard someone use bleach on plants in this forum. Cleaning a tent, yes. Spraying on plants, no.
If ETOH works, why follow up with bleach? Why not another ETOH shot?

Come on GB a little research is required....Never rely on one spraying to eradicate all the spider mites. One needs to alternate method because they can build up a resistance..

This has been my go to method, cheap, effective and easy to acquire - I have found some plants are more susceptible to mites then others...?? They Love the OZ x HOB have had issues to deal with on a couple of grows inside and out but then again I have 3 cats and 1 hound...

Let me go look for a link for you.. Dam Nebulas has that covered here, but not sure if that is where I first read this.

Spider mites are a common cannabis pest that can be very difficult to get rid of. Learn how to spot and treat at the first signs of these nasty pests.

My research was seeing if I could find anyone in the forum spraying bleach. Went through a couple pages with no luck. I'm also not 100% down with 100% of what GWE central says. That's where I was coming from.
I'm not saying what you are doing doesn't work. In my personal, I don't use bleach on anything. Bleach is one of my eewie things. Something that smells eewie to me and smells eewie for days after using. ETOH is also eewie, but it goes away pretty quick.
And it was a legit question. Why not a double dose of ETOH?

ID:	637273 OK tried the alcohol and watch them INSTANTY DIE! That was on some dry bud. I'm going to spray plants before I harvest. I did the cardinal sin and brought in unvetted clones and infected my other three tents in different stages. Also these things are orange like my VETTE.I almost used NEEM OIL before I read the article CHANGEOFPACE2014 posted. Will let you all what the outcome is.

I am not a car person (except for Jeeps) and always thought the Corvette was overrated. When Chevrolet put the engine mid-body, I almost got a chubby. Well played, Chevrolet. Well played.

Harvested my nine plants. Going to make dry ice hash. I think that's the easiest thing to do with this batch. Going to work on the other tents in different stages. Thanks for your input you all!!!!

I'd harvest and immerse the buds fully in gentle running water. It will drown the mites and wash them away and if you do it properly will end up with water cured and dry buds. Check out that method. It does work.
