I'm having issues with ec/ppm I add what GH chart says to add and because the calimagic at 5ml a gal. My ec is at 2.3 I'm trying to hit 1 to 1.2 ec and because the magic my ec is at 2.3 and ppm is 1.6 I have the dreaded stripes because I was only adding what GH chart said to add 1.8ml a gallon. But I noticed on the bottle it says to add 5ml a gallon and when I add that and epson salt at 1 tsp a gallon my ec/ppm is crazy high. I tried not to bother anyone but could really use some advice I've had such bad go so far and would really appreciate any help. I've lost plants due to root rot etc. ty in advance. Oh using GH 10 part light feed week two using Mars Hydro FC-8000 not using co2 5x5 grow tent, mars humidifier at 60%, light 20 in. away at 18% 160 ppfd of the 180 ppfd I can use, 24 hrs a day, DLI 13.8 of 16 feel free to ask any questions you may have. again ty!

Can you post a pic?
That light level is really low. Are they clones? Try an 18/6 light schedule with higher PPFD of at least 350, more if in veg. and not a seedling.
If you calmag stop using epsom.
Use half recommended by the manufacturer.
Are you growing in coco? How often are you feeding them?
What is the pH input?Flower Room: 11' x 7' x 7.5'H, 480w AC, 13gal/day dehumidifier, 1.5gal ultrasonic humidifier, 60gal (27gal usable) nute tank, 16" pedestal fan & 18" wall fan. Lighting and climate automated. Hand watering.
Veg Cupboards: Two 4x2x6H cupboards. SF2000 Evo in one SF7000 in other. Climate controlled and automated. Hand watering
Aeroponics Low Pressure Bucket: 20W LED. 5 clones & 20W LED 11 clones
Lights: Mars Hydro FC-E1200W, SF-7000, SF-2000 evo in flower room.
Medium: Coco/perlite, 7.2gal pots, no drains

Pics up now I lowered the light to 18% after all this started because plant got sick so I changed to 24 hrs to raise DLI because how low it was on 18 hrs. I added epsom because way more calcium in calimagic than magnesium. I started in coco before dwc for seedlings and didn't know I had to buffer coco. So I had to clone them due to root rot etc. I didn't want to lose them and now I think I'm way behind on cal/mag now and one deficiency led to another and now have a lot going on. Oh ph is at 5.8Last edited by VapeGod330; 11-24-2024, 09:07 PM.

You have a problem with too much N which is probably just too many nutes. You can probably cut calmag if you are using it.
Additionally make sure you are running an airstone and adjust pH down to 5.8 at least every 24hrs. Check the temp of the solution when you do that. You also need an anti fungal/algal mixed into your nute solution to reduce root & nute issues.
Air Temps around 25⁰C should be good. RH not so critical at this stage but 60 to 65 would be idealish.

I got root rot so I had to clone them all it caused a lot of issues and deficiencies one led to the next cause I used coco for seedlings without buffering the coco. I know now lol next time will use jiffy as it's not coco. It looks better today so I'm going to wait a day before I throw stuff at it and pay attention to new growth before I do anymore as it's showing signs of growth again and perking back up. The coco caused all this is why I got so low on magnesium and got the stripes and all down hill after. Me adding all the extra cal/mag has gotten my stems and branches back to green from blood red/purple and green coming back to leaves. I currently have 2 stones because I'm not using the drip currently and I figured it wouldn't mind the extra o2. ph is 5.8 I check in morning and befor bed. usually goes up to 5.9 to 6.1 and I correct. Water temp stays between 68 and 70F Hydrogaurd came yesterday so I added it to bucket. RH is at 60% Thank you for your help.

I use GH 10 part light feed I was having problems with mixing ferts and ec/ppm being to high but I think I figured it out. I'm going to try this mix silicon, cal/mag and base ferts together. then mix up additives together separately then add it to res until I hit my ec/ppm. this way my base ferts don't get reduced from diluting it down with distilled water. And this way the only things reduced is my additives and not my base ferts.

I've never managed to get seeds started in Jiffy. 100% failure rate for me. Others have had mixed results but they have a really low pH which is a big problem for cannabis and lots of other species too.
You got to get them off to a good start for the best end result I find. Stress impacts them negatively at all stages in my experience re end result but I always do my best to fix them and grow them out to harvest if I stress them by accident. The results can still be awesome!Flower Room: 11' x 7' x 7.5'H, 480w AC, 13gal/day dehumidifier, 1.5gal ultrasonic humidifier, 60gal (27gal usable) nute tank, 16" pedestal fan & 18" wall fan.
