    Trichomes

Most everything I have read or heard discusses visible trichomes. It just seems reasonable that trichomes or THC would also be present inside buds too or we wouldn't all be striving for big fat buds. Makes sense?

yes total sense, best way to check untouched tricomes is to brake open a nut and check the inside

I might be grasping at straws because I had to manhandled my colas for a much needed defoliate. Scissors and fingers were coated with broken trichomes...😭

Yeah no big deal. It becomes a problem when the grower squeezes the buds daily just to smell them or fell them. Its a big temptation I'd say

Plants may use trichomes in order to deter herbivore attack via physical and/or chemical means. Are you attacking your plant? LOL

She may have thought so! 😂 I kept thinking as I defoliated that it was like a hungry deer taking a nibble...

I can't see any benefit in touching buds. Every time you touch them, trichomes come off. I personally would rather smoke them then wash them off my hands. I know it's tempting but try to avoid it. Again my $.02

Agreed but I had to thin her out or deal with possible mold... lesser of two evils.
