    Liquid resin on buds

So I'm harvesting in the dark now and something caught my eye.

    Anyone seen this before? SiriusFourside

And another pic of this bud.

Is this a drop of resin in the top pic that has formed on this flower?

I've never seen this before in my life but these are without doubt the wettest and most resinous buds of anything I have ever grown Franklin

    Amazing

I'm not sure what they are but I've found dark drops like that. I was just assuming tears of happiness from the plant. Always wondered what they really were.

Turns out it is resin but not the type to knock you out of your tree, the type needed for trees to grow...sap.

There are a few clear ones on the other side of the bud in the above pics also but that large amber one looks way cool the way it is coming out of the flower.

Apparantly you get the same thing when you cut off leaves....which doesn't sound as cool as a bud dripping in resin...oh well.

You solved it. It is sap. What a bummer it is only sap.
      C'mon, mule!

I remember when I was in elementary school and there was a pine tree where we had recess. I brought in a bag and collected all of the sap that was leaking out. I didn't know what it was but I knew it was cool. Not sure what I did with it but that was probably the first memory I have of how awesome nature is.

Use to collect them on bivouac, great little fire starters (evergreens). The clearer they are the fresher they are.
