Trying to get some opinions and insights form the growers here that use coco. I got a couple slabs of Canna Coco Coir coming with grow dots as a nutrient . Courtesy of a very good friend. Never used either of them. They "SAY" its the cats meow.

Pulled this product description off Amazon. Someone used Spellcheck real fine but they need to get in touch with Grammarcheck and WTFcheck.
My question is, what is different between this and any other coco? I have used three brands. If there was a difference, I wasn't paying attention. Don't forget your perlite or the ilk. 'tho, it does answer an age-old question about reusing coco.
"CANNA COCO medium is a pure product with a homogeneous structure and has had a full buffering to prevent that the medium consumes the nutrients, Instead the nutrients are directly available to the plant CANNA COCO medium is free of harmful viruses and soil diseases, thanks to CANNA’s unique production process. CANNA COCO medium has a complex water/air balance that provides the ideal conditions for growing plants CANNA COCO medium can be re-used a number of times and makes an excellent potting mix improver after use."C'mon, mule!

Only difference between canna and other brands
1. Ready to use out the bag (if using fluffed)
2. Low EC after buffering while others can have spikes
3. Salinity content.
4.Pre-buffered with Cal-Mag
I rather spend the extra few bucks and just go with Canna. It seems they at least attempt to give you Coco not crap. I'm really curious about their bricks. I've only ever used their ready to go fluffed Coco. (If they're good, it'll be better for me because lack of space and I don't make new substrate often. I recycle and reuse until it's dust.

Coco is coco.
I use the loose bag stuff as I'm not interested in rehydrating a brick although I do flush it before use with plain old rainwater.
I reuse as much as I can but massive root balls tend to take the shine off of recycling it.Flower Room: 11' x 7' x 7.5'H, 480w AC, 13gal/day dehumidifier, 1.5gal ultrasonic humidifier, 60gal (27gal usable) nute tank, 16" pedestal fan & 18" wall fan. Lighting and climate automated. Hand watering.

Coco is great for growing. As far as the bricks go, that takes much time and effort to get it ready to grow. I prefer the loose bagged product. No matter who says what about their pre-buffering, hit it with a good dose of cal mag to make sure. Never used grow dots, I am interested to see how they work in your grow.Don't worry, be happy, grow sticky buds.

Much much less expensive you can use FloraFlex Quickfill Coco Bags. widely used and people are happy with it. RX Green makes great Coco. Arable Acres is good but expensive to ship unless you are in California. not going to say Canna is bad but expensive for what it is.

I'm gonna be using Canna Coco fluffed and I'm getting bricks because $50 vs. $23. Canna brand bricks are (supposedly) also flushed and buffered just like the bagged stuff. We'll see. I also plan to use Grow Dots in one of the boxes. It's going to be organic vs mineral in Coco. Nature's Living Soil vs Real Growers Grow Dots all Coco based substrate. No peat(sad me lol).
I'm just curious....I have some theories and the only way to see if those hold up is to test it out. What better way to start the New Year than an all new grow with all new substrate and all new genetics.Peace. Love. Mushrooms and Weed.

Got the canna coco, Hoffman perlite, grow dots and recharge ready. Picked up calimagic also. Getting funded for this one. RVC and the cake family are a big hit here!!. Using Going2fast RVC, seeds popped in 2 days. These are very hardy seeds. Im getting the hang of indoor growing one grow at a time. Read nebula's articles, good information. Looking good, no yellow.

No3odiesShad0w per your post #2.1.
I got you on the differences between CC and 'other brands.' Whatever did or did not get done to the brands I have used, I have never had an issue with more than a non-flushing premoistening of the coco and do not water to more than, maybe, a cup of runoff. Full strength (plus) nutes every watering.C'mon, mule!
