HELP! Top buds Way to close to light

So i fucked up, didn’t stress test enough and did not start flower stage.

Now the buds are to close to the light, and are burning and may be a risk for setting it on fire (idk). Should I just cut the tall buds off and then lose it and let the plant focus on the buds below?

    any ideas please 🙏

Super cropping is about all you can do at this point. Its not a pleasant thing to do but when this has happened to me I thin them out a bunch, yes I cut and toss branches with bud sites, and super crop them and spread them out to make a canopy that covers the foot print. Each bud site will produce a bud then sort of like you see in a SCROG. The stretch is over and this is a photoperiod correct? .

Yes they just entered week 4 of flower, so I will have to remove all the top buds, and maybe I can bend some of top buds.

I would super crop them and/or the suggestion below is a good one, throw a net over them and spread them out if you have enough room for the foot print.

Super crop is the way to go, or just hit them with a broom. Put a net on it, lower it down then bent the tall stems sideways and put them under the next square to keep in place. The plants can take it.
Don't worry, be happy, grow sticky buds.
