I’ve got a couple of Green Gelato Autos (RQS) in soil, same age, same - well, everything. I noticed today the stems on one have a reddish hue, while the other is green. Is it weird or just genetic traits of one variety more dominant in one of the plants? Data sheet identifies them as 55% Sativa, 40% Indica, and 5% Ruderalis.
The one with the reddish stems was a slow starter - her tap root was growing up instead of down. Part of my first grow, I didn’t recognize that was the issue for a couple days. In the last two weeks, she has caught up with the other in size - but it looks like 10-12 days behind in maturity as we move through flowering.
