New guy here again. I have a2x4x6 room. Got a couple of vs 1500 lights for it. Was thinking about getting some bar or strip lights for the lower sides and ends. Any thoughts as to weather it is maybe a good idea or maybe a waste of time and money. Got three young plants now and they look good. Was thinking about a sog thing next time and thinking about a little extra lighting. Really do appreciate any help or ideas

I would probably struggle to figure out how to get a pic on here. I got two inline fans, one combo ng in,one going out,one oscillating fan,two plants in 5 gallon fabric, one in 3 gallon fabric. The 5 gallon with Coco loco is doing the best. Almost two weeks out of the ground, can see the 4th set of leaves starting, about four or five inches tall. The other two are in mother Earth something and are a little smaller. Haven't added any nutrients yet. Soil I used is supposed to be good for a month or so. 1rst time so am just doing a little experimentung with pot size ,soul

Do you have a site to host your images? I use https://imgur.com/ to host my pictures. You can register on their site for free and upload all the images you want to use to post to various sites.
What I do is take pictures with my phone then upload them from my phone to Imgur. Once I have them uploaded to imgur I can download them to my computer so that I have the image saved on my computer in case they disappear on Imgur or vice a versa. Once the image is in my computer I can upload them to whatever site I want to post them on OR I can directly link the image to Imgur.

The VS1500, be it the regular or pro model, should have more than enough light output to light up a 2 x 2 space. 2 of them should be fine without having to resort to edge lighting.
Do you have a light meter or light meter phone app? You could hang your lights and measure how much light you're getting on the edges to make sure you're getting the amount of light you want. IIRC, Mars Hydro sells side light bars.

I will look at the photo thing you suggested sometimes. You haven't steered me wrong yet and I do appreciate it. technology is definitely not my strong point. I been using the Photone app on my phone to measure light. Think it is working ok. The reason I was thinking about a little more light is next time I might try that sog thing and was thinking that maybe a little more light around the lower edges might help some. That is still a couple months away though. Just trying to think how I can make things better. I think I enjoy growing it as much as using it so I will be constantly trying to figure out better ways to do it. You seem to do very well at it

I wouldn't worry about that in a 2 x 2. If you were in a larger tent like a 4 x 4 or 5 x 5 then, yeah, you probably want to go to a bar light setup but your light should give plenty of edge ppfd.

Sorry, you're in a 2 x 4 but you have 2 lights so same idea. You should have plenty of edge ppfd.
