    General Hydroponics Flora Series

I have been thinking about switching to the GH Flora series. For my next grow.

Has anyone used this in a soil grow? Ive read you can use it for a soil grow. There just doesn't seem to be a whole lot of detailed information.

The feeding charts I've looked at are confusing.

I'm very comfortable with Fox Farms soil trio. But I feel like I should take Nebula's advice and give it a try.

I have used this product exclusively for several years. It's gets great results, is competitively priced and easy to use. I prefer it over one part products because I can make adjustments to meet conditions arising during the grow such as altering the amount of nitrogen the plants receive by increasing or decreasing the amount of the component that has the most nitrogen. I used it in soil every watering at 50% of the recommended amount. You cannot go wrong with this brand.

I've used in the past flora nova grow and flora nova bloom only. I don't use a mix of nutes. I also use epsom salts in waterings as needed.

I agree with OldManGrower but I use the all in one, FloraNova. Having used the all in one for a while now I haven't had to do any custom ratios other than blending grow and bloom at strategic times.

I also agree with using it at 50%. Full strength is too strong.

He isn't wrong about being able to do blends to fit whatever the plant is presenting to you. Thankfully I haven't had to do that but if you feel confident enough to be able to figure out the ratio you feel the plant needs at that particular time then it is a great system to use.

One thing I would like to clear up and that is the synthetic vs organic argument. Many people feel that GH Flora series will hurt your microbe and fungus soil colonies but I've found that to be untrue. Not sure on the 3 part he uses but I tested FloraNova to see what would happen if I exposed it to agar. It actually helped feed it rather than making it go dormant. My guess would be that the 3 part trio he uses is the same.

I have been using this for a couple of years and it works great and don't use as much product as FF trio. I use Nebulas feeding example always ! Happy growing

I have been using Flora trio in soil for my entire grow from the beginning, but diluted as mentioned previously. I use the micro and bloom almost exclusively, unless they look they need nitrogen, then I add Gro too. It's easy to change ratio without doing a ton of thinking or math by just keeping the total volume added the same.
