Keep plants on 12/12 to determine sex, then return them to 18/6

Hi all, I don't really know the correct expression for what I would like to do. The closest thing I found on Google is re-vegging but it's not exactly what I was looking for.

From my last yield of RQS Sour Diesel, I gathered around 50 seeds and I would like to determine which plants are ladies and which are not.

Plants are already 14 days old, growing in soil under HPS. 18/6

I would like to put them under 12/12 so they show sex (throw away males), and then quickly put them back to 18/6 and leave them in veg some more to reach the height that I want.

Do you have any experience with this?

    Thanks

    It's not worth it.

Grow twice as many as you need for your strategy then when they reveal toss.

My males normally reveal during veg anyway.

That will take 6 weeks to get them into and back out of flower, as said not worth it.
Tell us more about these seed! Was there a male that invaded your grow? Or did you have a hermie? IF you did not have a true male the seed MAY be feminized.

It can be done but it's a PITA. You can take a black plastic bag and cover a branch after 12 hours while the rest of the plant gets its 18. You'll have to remove and replace every day without fail on each plant. After a few weeks you should start seeing that particular branch show its sex.

Honestly, I would do as has been posted and just start flowering them all until they start to show sex. Take the best girls out the bunch in regards to the number you need and toss everything else unless you have another tent you can use the extra girls in.

I like to fuck with my neighbors and go around at night planting the extra girls in their gardens to see how long it takes before they realize what it is!!

Thanks guys for your feedbacks. I got the seeds from a female plant that turned into hermie. The plant develped nice potent buds but I discovered a 2 hidden bananas. And I got lucky and only 1 plant got mildly polinated.
But I planted 5 of these seeds outside this year and all 5 were females!
So ok, I suppose its not worth the time to reveg...I dont have room for 50. So in case of 2 much feemales, I will use Rootsruler advice and provide my neighbours with nice garden decor 😁
          thanks again

Seeds from a hermie will be all female, with the increased tendency to be hermies, good luck.
