    Was she fertilized? If so, you'll get seeds in your buds...

      Hermie, so I'm using it to watch the grow process.I'm not sure yet if it's seeds, still watching. I look for any changes in this plant for future references.

        Pull one off and dig into it, if there is no seed then its just a fat female part, if there is a seed in it then you have seeds. As a Note seeds from a hermie can carry a genetic trait to produce more hermies.

          See post #31 in https://forum.growweedeasy.com/forum...o-happen/page3 for close up pix of what seeded plants look like.

          Yours do look like they have seed. Give the calyx a gentle squeeze. If it is hard inside you have seed.
          Don't worry, be happy, grow sticky buds.

          Test plant is producing seeds. Will this stop or slow down bud growth? Will the pistils be brownish instead of white on buds producing seeds? Buds with no indication of seed growth, the pistils are still white, and the buds that are suspect have brownish pistils. Is this normal? {To whom it may concern; I reads everything I can find on this website! and elsewhere!}

            If you want to harvest seed the color of the seed is a good measure of when to harvest. Bud characteristics is not really a good measure as pistols will go brown as the bud matures but the seed may not be ready depending on when fertilisation occurred. I wouldn't harvest any seed from early stage hermies but late stage no problem.

            If you are checking to see if you have any seed you need to open up the bud and open up the sacs/bracts and check inside for seed. I've given up on checking for late stage hermies.

            I've found if I pollinate the buds myself it takes about 3 to 4 weeks to harvest good seed. I dry the buds and remove the seed in the dry trim.

          Seeds in buds will change the bud growth. My experience was that as a percent by weight, the seeds were about 28% of the total bud weight. There is a perception that seeds will "ruin" the bud. The only way the bud was degraded, was that it spent energy on producing seed, and therefore there was less weight of consumable bud. That said, the bud remaining after harvesting seed had potency on par with buds that were not pollinated. Additionally the buds with seeds were broken up and shredded to remove the seed. If your situation is that the esthetic value of the bud is important, that is also a downside. Most people's bud gets broken up and ground before consuming anyway. Mine went to tincture.

          A bud that has been pollinated will show a more rapid change in the white hairs turning to brown. If your goal is to make seed, I recommend letting the plant grow older than normal, ideally wait until the plant starts dropping seeds by itself, then harvest. If there are unpollinated buds those can be harvested earlier. When letting a plant age out keep a watchful eye for mildew and rot.

            Thank you, You answer is what I was hoping for, and I am going to let it keep going. Back in the 60's-70's every thing had seeds, it's the way it was so I have no problem with a few seeds. As for the seeds I still have an antique "MARYGIN" Back down memory lane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
