    Blue Cheese and Wedding Cake

Decided to do a quick holiday grow in my 2x4. These two are 10 days old today. I’ll be switching the lights to 12/12 on Sunday. Hoping to wrap up around Christmas

I'll say good luck your really pushing them thar photoperiods. I don't think i've ever flipped them that young. If it works i just may chance a go with short veg period, i sure got enough seeds to chance doing something like this. I'mma gonna watch for now.

It’s good for a small tent grow when yield isn’t a concern

Flip at 16 days, will be interesting. The earliest I ever did that was at 21 days. I have read that they stay in veg for 21 days regardless of the light cycle. Don't know if that is true or not. Interesting to see what happens.
Don't worry, be happy, grow sticky buds.

Whenever I flip them early they tend to stretch a little longer than normal before flowering so the 21 day thing may be accurate

I had to go out of town so I’m a little behind schedule. This morning I did a little trimming and switched the lights to 12/12. The Wedding Cake has 8 colas growing out less than 2 inches above the coco so I may chop her down and add a screen

I can’t wait! Been wanting to try this strain for a while. I need to get this grow in jars at 62% by January 12th so fingers crossed 🤪

It really depends on the number of plants and what stage they’re in. Right now these two only drinking about 3 gallons per week. Big plants in weeks 1-6 of flower will drink a ton of water. The last time I had 3 plants in 5 gallon pots on the same reservoir they consumed 8-10 gallons per week. I put a 1/2” rain tap in the bottom of a 25 gallon trash can and converted it into a reservoir with an automatic ph system. I feel comfortable being gone up to 2wks if needed.

My last grow i had a Pineapple Chunk go completely dry by the time I got home. The plant was fine but every now and then I find a seed. I’m okay with that though 😂

Looking good. Blue cheese is one of my favorites. I like your watering system.

Thanks! I have to say AutoPots are pretty sweet. The system is super easy to use, allows you to leave your grow unattended for days if needed and most importantly …the plants thrive👍🏻

Even if you started with 12/12 from seed, the plants would still have to grow about 3 weeks before they reach sexual maturity and can start flowering. As long as your give them the proper DLI @12hours then you can still get some big growth before they are mature enough to flower. And you have demonstrated that really well. Good growing 👍

I grow like this often tbh…I prefer variety and fresh buds so large yields aren’t my thing

How many node sets did you keep? I think I count 4 looking at previous pix.

Man that's just a great looking set of plants, love the training.

      Thanks Budgal!

CK there’s four on the Blue Cheese and five on the Wedding Cake. I usually remove the first node since those colas usually stay small but thus plant was an exception

Two things that took my grows to another level, AutoPots and training over round boards. The Wedding Cake is a big girl.

Technique is similar to a scrog only less stressful than flowering under a screen

Those look great. Sure do like your technique. I try a similar approach also.Watched a few of your grows. Low with all the attention on bud site production. Makes for some tasty weed. All that space above for a environment.. Thanks for the tips

Appreciate the love! I’ve found this technique to be great for all around bud quality. The tops will always be prime but the lower buds still get plenty of light this way. Yield isn’t bad either 😉
