I am curious to know if these are east coast strains or mail-order. It would be neat to grow one of yours like I grow mine. See which is better. Like east coast vs west coast rap. Give me a good excuse to pop another cap in someone's ass.
The area I'm in is often called South Bay.

Here we go, folks! The first Bessie Cake is 13 days from seed-in-coco.
7 planted. 6 came up. 1 might be a floater. Full nutes. Really, this time. I read the directions instead of relying on my dope stricken brainage.

It came to me that what I am growing will be an OG strain as I live so close to the ocean.
            Bessie Cake OG.

What maximum distance is allowed from the ocean for the OG claim? Does it need to be outdoors or does indoors qualify?

            #7
I do not have the officials of what qualifies.
Whatever those officials be, I can see the Pacific at a mile and half away and one of the Coronado Islands, however far away. My house dust is salt and sand. And Dabber hair.
When my plants get up to harvest height, they have a similar view of the ocean. No island.

            Moving along...
Got a little lily pad action going last week with high temps and humidity. Probably a little high on the pH.
Funny thing. Lower right plant, showing most of the lily padding, lost one of it's one fingered leaves. One day it was drooping. Next day it was laying in the dirt. Eventually dying. Not a lick of nothing like it nowhere else. Grower actuated damage is not the reason.

Hmm... At four weeks, if they have not stopped growing, they have slowed way the hell down. I haven't moved the light for three days. Click image for larger version

The Olympian is about 6" taller than the PE Benchwarmer which is sitting on a bowl to get it more in line with Varsity and Jr Varsity.
Otherwise they are nice and healthy.

What did you do with the other sprouted seeds? And those in the tent look great love the strain mix.

The seeds go gladiator style. Put them in the ring and pull out the slackers.

Not sure what it is but something is looking a bit suss on those front two.

Are the leaves curling or taco'ing a bit? Are they getting more light than the rear two?

The reason I asked if they'd just been trained is I thought they were looking a bit twisted and f'ed up like immediately after you train them before they recover and start reaching for the light again.

Maybe I didn't make myself clear.
These plants are four weeks old. The Olympian is 14". PEB is 9". They stopped growing days ago. The Olympian is already flowering. PEB is not.
Size-wise, these plants are sub dwarf, SOG. My shortest ever.
As of right now, I do not see a fair trade on this investment (electric, nutes, coco). I cannot afford to pay for next to nothing. A harvest needs to give me 3/4 ounce of resin to be worth the cost. This doesn't look like it will turn out to be an ounce of flower. At this point, the hobby-ness of it moot. I am only waiting to see if they take off.
If I don't get another inch of growth by Wednesday... seriously...

You obviously didn't make yourself clear. At 28 days old for a heavy indica leaning auto they look exceptional. Not sure why they stopped growing on you. I see no signs of stress other than it looks like they were topped. If so that's your fault. Sorry you are having problems bro. I'm fine with criticism. That's why I ask for Feedback. And they should be showing pistols by now. They usually stretch for another 3 weeks after pre flower. Hang in there and go have a Snickers bar.

Right! They are super healthy. They have not been topped. In my limited auto experience, I do not top autos.
There is no criticism. Not even constructive criticism. Merely observation. Like that word you used: feedback.
PEB got stressed pretty early on. We had high temps and humidity. She has recovered well.

It looks to me like the two in the front have just been trained prior to the pic you took. Is that the case?

No trimming. No plucking. No training. All natural.
Maybe a little moving of fans to accommodate young flower stems.

                    #15
Nope. No suss. Nothing untoward compared to other grows. This will be my laziest grow with zero plucking or twist ties. Only appropriate tucking.
The variations in size happen. I had considered the same thing Bluey about plant size and geography. It doesn't matter. The front two are two feet closer to my opaque front door and the open tent flap. Shorties can grow in the back as well as the front.
