    Thoughts on the grass smell

Been sitting here under my tent exhaust, enjoying the smell.
I noticed after last harvest and the couple days I've been hanging this round that I haven't had the hay smell. Got it in loads in the past.
When does a grass lawn smell like grass? When it has been cut.
If you hang your plants to dry after doing any amount of wet trim, you are basically hanging fresh cut grass.
I've converted to doing a dry trim. I like the smell of weed better than grass. Although I do love the smell of a freshly mown lawn!

I notice more of a fresh cut grass or hay smell if I stuff up the dry/cure. A good dry and cure after a couple of months should not have that smell but describing it is not easy and will vary jar to jar. I don't grow strains that smell out of this world. I have grown a couple in the past that did give a strong smell but the effects were too psycho active for me inc hallucinations...not what I'm after.

I'm not sure what you mean? I can smell all grasses for like 100 miles? Did you smell something different?

I'm talking about the grass or hay smell people often get when drying and curing. To each his nose.

Agreed. Dry trim is way better, I’ll never wet trim again. Also helps with curing as I find you don’t really need to burp the jars the same if you put in dried vs drying bud

Drying too fast will give the hay smell. If it takes less than 5 days to get to 55rh it will lose all it's terps. Then it's only good for hash. Hate smoking grassy grass.

This has been my experience also with drying and curing process. I Hang whole plant in tent at 70f/ 60rh for 10 days at least. I noticed the difference first time i used patience during the drying process.
