    Air Freshener Error?

    Hello everyone,

I went on vacation for a week and, for various reasons, I placed room fresheners at regular intervals to prevent them from producing any odor. When I returned home, there was a strong scent of room freshener in the room, and the plants looked very unhealthy.

I use Biobizz products. I have BioHeaven, Fish Mix, and Root Juice. I tried to clean the chemicals from the room freshener that had settled into the soil by using these fertilizers. I washed the soil with fertilized water and placed the plants back in their original positions.

Is the problem really the air freshener? Is there a solution you can suggest to me? Have I done enough? Can the plants still continue to grow healthily? Thank you.

    Plant: AK 47
    Light: Mars Hydro TSW 2000
Fertilized: Biobizz - Heaven, Fish Mix, Root Juice

I don't believe that the air fresheners are too blame. However, I could easily be wrong What is your PH in and out? If it is in the normal range for soil (6.5 +/-) Than we can rule that out. Try adding some Cal-Mag to your mix.

I agree, I don't think that the air fresheners are to blame although I wouldn't use them near my grow. Not knowing your grow setup (looks like you're in a basement as I see brick walls, cement floor, a floor drain, etc) take this with a grain of salt.

If you are indeed growing in a corner in your basement, it will be difficult to maintain the correct environment and that's what is likely your problem. Those symptoms can be explained by an environment that isn't dialed in. It sounds overly basic, but temp, humidity, ventilation, circulation, watering regime, and lighting are super important. While sometimes you have to be flexible based on what spaces are available to you, expectations also have to be adjusted based on your setup. If you were away for a week, did you have someone making sure that temp/humidity were in check and that your plants were watered correctly? In your case, I think those are the three most important contributors to the symptoms you see. Also, seeing that drain in your floor, that's an easy entry point for pests, especially fungus gnats so make sure that the p-trap is full and not allowing anything in. Additionally, you'll want to make sure that you pour bleach or something like that in there as fungus gnats, spider mites, etc. love to use standing water to multiply. If you don't want to use bleach, there are other products that use enzymes to make sure that nothing is growing in your drains. We use the enzymes in restaurant drains as they're less dangerous since no one can accidentally dump ammonia down there and create a poisonous gas, etc.

I do think that, if you make sure to dial in your environment, you'll be able to save them. Just make sure that they're 100% healthy before you flip to flower as any problems tend to get worse when you flip.

Thank you for your answers. My Light is Mars Hydro TSW 2000 and it's 65 cm above the plants. Ph is 6,8 and temp is 24 centigrade.
This isn't my first time growing plants. I've been doing it for 3 years. It's in a closet in my room right now. I haven't installed a grow cabin for safety reasons, but I will soon.
