Jack Herer Fast (seedman) I'm at day 54 from seed,. Haven't had a single problem till now. It seems as though it happened over night. I flushed with Cal-Mag(FF) and changed to beastie blooms(FF) and yellow leaves on the bottom only, so far. I'm 24 hours in to this. I have only changed its position in the room. 18 inches directly over, changed position. It seems to be a lime green now. In the pic its the one in the back right. The rest of the pics are of the bottom leaves from that plant(JHF). Is this Nitrogen deficiency of light intensity ? Opinions are welcome, criticism expected. Thanks Dirty.

A nitrogen deficiency causes the lower/older leaves of a cannabis plant to start yellowing, wilting, and dropping off on their own. Learn how to fix it.
Leaves with a potassium deficiency have yellow, brown, or burnt edges and tips. It may look like nutrient burn, but the leaf margins also turn yellow.
Problem: A cannabis zinc deficiency causes younger leaves to start yellowing in between the veins. Leaf tips get discolored and may start dying.
Does your cannabis plant have yellowing lower leaves between the veins? See pictures of a magnesium deficiency and learn the easy solution.
Cannabis leaf edges and tips turning yellow? Copper deficiency can cause dark, shiny leaves with purple or blue undertones. Learn how to spot and treat it!
All of the above can be PH related, if thats soil try 6.5-6.8 range in flower.
Light bleaching is similar to bleached hair from spending ample time under the sun. Read for more information on how to prevent and solve light bleaching.

I looked at all the images in the plant problems Rwise but didn't see any that matched. The lime green color is what caught my eye then i seen the yellowing leaves on the bottom. Through my research on this site i found some images(lime green) that matched in a article about N- deficiency. I'm not use to paying so much attention to plants but it has become somewhat of a hobby. LOL the only thing i have done since i found the issue is move the plant to a different location in the grow room. I thought maybe light intensity. Time will tell

No criticism, just great to see folks sharing and learning!
Not saying that it is N deficiency, but light stress appears on the parts of the plant closest to the light - the top. Nitrogen is a mobile nutrient and the plant shuttles it up to the new growth causing the lower leaves to turn pale green/yellow.
So if the chlorosis is at the bottom of the plant, it's not light stress. Since it's at the bottom of the plant, it could be a nitrogen deficiency. However a nitrogen deficiency normally shows chlorosis from the edge of the leaf inward whereas yours seems to be starting at the vein and moving outward. Do the yellowed leaves pull off easily? If they do, that's another sign of nitrogen deficiency. If you see the issue continue to creep up the plant from the bottom towards the top, it's another good indicator of a nitrogen deficiency.
Oftentimes in determining what could be wrong it's just as important to determine what isn't the issue as well.
More info would help...how much water have you been giving and how often? In what size pot? Also, assuming you are in flower since you used Beastie Blooms. Flower is often when problems will show themselves as the plants enter a new stage and needs change as well. Beastie Blooms has 0 nitrogen in it and lots of phosphorous and potassium. Were you growing all organic or with synthetic nutes?
Many issues can be caused by improper environment. Ninety-five percent (okay, I'm making that up, but it seems like 95%!) of problems can be fixed with maintaining the correct environment. Temp, humidity, correct watering regime (super important, especially in soil and even moreso in organic/living soil grows), lighting, ventilation, circulation. I grow organic so I can't say much about pH issues so if you're using synthetic nutrients, defer to those who know more about pH management than I do.
Whatever you do, take a deep breath and wait a couple days. You've done a lot to the plant and it may be stressed...changing lighting, flushing with calmag, adding Beastie Bloomz. If you decide to pursue a particular fix, do it and wait a few days. Does the issue stop? Slow down? Speed up? Change? Then go from there.Organic indoor grower - 4x4 tent - 2 Electric Sky 180v3s

The yellowing leaves on the bottom do not pull off easy. I water every 3rd day at about a quart to 1/2 gal in coco 2 gallon fabric pots. Beastie blooms is the second step in the trio from fox farms. It starts at week 8. So i flushed with Cal-mag and started second step of nutes when the substrate was somewhat dry. The environment is pretty good., temps 70-85 not fluctuating alot. Waiting game now. I agree that all the problems arise when she puts on the make up and ties to turn colors LOL. I moved it out of direct light but kept the distance18 inches to see if the lime color goes away in a few days. Going to a tent soon, it will be all by itself. Time will tell, Ill post back in a week with change. If anybody has a clue drop a line. thanks dirty

I aim for run off 6.3 and above but not getting enough regular runoff to get accurate measurements atm so just closely watching the leaves overall...not focusing on a few leaves showing problems when I have another 100 on the plant not showing problems and good growth rate.
Allow the plant to respond to any changes you have already made recently. I try to keep changes minor in nature and 1 at a time.
If you have a nute lockout or deficiency increasing light intensity will generally exacerbate the problem.
I'd also recommend raising pH runoff a little and monitor. Your problems appear very minor and more pH related than light related to me but your watering schedule, nute ratio, and VPD needs to be checked also as low VPD, conservative nute ratio and a strong light can also give that leaf effect.
Edit. I'd pluck those lower leaves also.Last edited by Bluey; 02-24-2023, 03:07 PM.Flower Room: 11' x 7' x 7.5'H, 480w AC, 13gal/day dehumidifier, 1.5gal ultrasonic humidifier, 60gal (27gal usable) nute tank, 16" pedestal fan & 18" wall fan. Lighting and climate automated. Hand watering.

I don't seem to get a lot of run off with this coco coir and perilite mixture. I'm so use to soil i cant tell if it needs water or not so i just stay with a schedule. The pots stay heavy for a day or two and then dry to about half their weight, time to water. I may be keeping it to dry. soil meter says 8 to 9 after watering and 3-4 when i water.I flushed and started with the second step in the trio from fox farms and it turned lime green with yellow leaves on the bottom.I moved it out of direct light 18 inches away. Ill wait 2 days now to see if just moving it did anything. That's all i did so far. t Dirty

I'd say too dry. I water mine a lot more than that, so much so I likely slow their growth for the first month. Increase frequency. I don't bother too much with runoff and have given up on regular flushes...my drip trays to plug seal has broken again on the ones I've moved and if I give them runoff my emergency if there's a leak catch tubs will overflow

Watering once a day will never be too often in coco. I water mine at lights on and 6 hours later when in flower.
It's easy to overwater seedlings but I've never killed anything by doing that. I do cut my nute ratio down a bit in flower but that's because I run a fairly high VPD.
Underwatering in coco you don't want, better to give a bit more than less

This is my first time growing with good genetics Or any genetics that i know. In the past i got a few seeds here and there from a good source that was a gamble at best if it made buds or not. But nothing like the seed banks i find today. Seek and ye shall find, and find. Lots of stuff out there since planting on a creek bank when i started. This new weed is killer. Pick a issue and a strain pops up, damn i love it.
