Green75 sold me on it, no idea what the difference is but I've seen his results. Shop owner also just showed me his results using those, whoa! I'm now double sold!

Yes...it's awesome for veg and flower...that's what I used till up about a week ago..I got the 4k bulb in now...both are full spectrum....

soon I will have the 315 finishing bulb...that is used in last two weeks for tricomes and resin.. it's not at all needed I just feel like playing with bulbs for awhile to see if I can increase anything..

Hellz yeah ! Let me know what you find out, I'm all about micro tuning. Will look around for the 4K. Any safety issues I should look for? I already know it's bright as fuck! Welding goggles seem to do the trick. My left arm felt a little crisper though, read somewhere about long sleeves...I have the ballast at 50% for now, max distance available is 18", what do you recommend? And thanks for the after hours help man!

Keep your head out from under it if you have a shaved head..mine is and it's gotten toasty once or twice trying to prune under it...when I am forced to work under it I wear a hat..lol...I'm not under there long but you can feel it without it...totally bright!! I do not have a separate ballast I have Sun system all in one..full power all time...go big

18" is good to start..I slowly lower mine after I raise it..I'm down to 15" now...no curling so I'll keep going...I'm all about pushing them...they will get pissed soon tho..lol

you will love how it coats the bud in tricomes...like you dunked them in sugar...

All good...anytime....24/7 .....12/60 .....always in garden mode

Electricity rates where I am are $0.11 per kWh. Which results in a $30-35 per month @ 24/0 using 600w mh/hps with the full compliment of fans and a dehumidifier. Rained like hell in NorCal this winter, so the dehumidifier was required. my bill is usually around $150 anyway, so 35 bucks extra ain't bad.

Gonna get a 315 for next grow. Green swears his and I checked one out at local hydro store. Amazed at how little heat it put out and the light...damnnnn!! Have seen online that I can buy hood, ballast and bulb seperate for around what you paid. Same manufacturer with a remote ballast, which I kinda like. Let us know how you like yours!!

What brand did you get. Saw on another thread that you were looking at a link for a 400w CMH.

For those interested in learning more about LECs (short for Light Emitting Ceramic), I wrote a little bit about them here just explaining what they are.

Basically an LEC uses ceramic metal halide technology (they used to be called CMH or Ceramic Metal Halide, but these days they're more commonly called LECs). Get an LEC grow light for growing cannabis on Amazon.com

CMH/LEC grow lights are more efficient than regular metal halide lights (they put out more light for the same amount of electricity) and have some other cool features, too. For example, the 315 LEC gives off UV rays (which may possibly increase THC) and the fixture is designed to keep cool without glass so the UV rays actually make it to your plant!

LuckyAcres I've never seen one so cheap! I probably would have picked one up myself at that price

Yeah it was interesting, walked in the shop this guy had four of them on his cart and there was still a huge pile of them left! This shop has insane prices, not sure how they do it and it's a 2 minute drive so no complaints here. Your tutorial and green's results are the reason why I'm poorer today... but now the shed is cooking! Yeah baby!
