I got the 2nd Freak in the drying rack today. The outdoor screen house has worked better than I could have hoped. Not one single
bug, caterpillar, cat hair, or bird poop. Got the guestroom (drying central) dialed in at 50% RH and the temp staying between 70-74.
I'm guessing 2+ more weeks for the other strains to mature. It's nice not being overwhelmed and able to harvest in stages.

Did you do any trimming how bad was it? Or do you use a electric trimmer/bud spinner ?

I didn't use my bowl trimmer on the Freaks because they produce these elongated buds and I just wasn't sure if it would work. FreakShow is a really easy plant to hand trim. The sun leaves tend to stick out like scarecrow arms and are simple to negotiate. The trick I learned was to leave plenty of branch to hold onto because the buds are ridiculously sticky. The sugar leaves are covered in trichomes so i removed very little of those. I learned last year that they get very brittle so this year I'm being much more careful in drying and curing.

Sweet. Can't wait to try it again next year. Unfortunately my last two beans were duds this spring. How tall did she get and what was the smell? Last year's smelled like pineapple.

I had them in my 7 foot tall screen house and kept training the tops over to the side. I would say that if I were to straighten them out from the top of the containers they were at least 8 foot. The closest I can come to in describing the smell is primarily lighter fluid and grapefruit. The fuel smell is ridiculously strong.
