    leaves and buds

a couple of days ago woke up to find leafs and buds gone dry,Ithey also had brown on most of them, not spots just brown, itts mainly on fan leaves, sugar and little leaves coming off the bud i think that maybe its nutrient build up because i havent changed anything which may of caused it,i left water in a bucket for 24 hours,i made sure ph level was correct, then flushed them, any ideas what it is?

For it to hammer a change like that overnight suggest some kind of nutrient shock rather than disease-don't know anything else.

It could be bud rot. That can dry out buds and cause nearby leaves to die, like this:

i think i know what the problem is,i used hydro ph up and down for the water not soil ph up and down, think maybe a chemical reaction, any input would be great

The type of PH Up and Down used for hydroponics is also suitable for soil if you're using it to adjust pH after adding nutrients in the water. Is it possible to post a picture of the problem, and a pic of the plant in the setup? What are your watering practices?

Last summer I got excited as I watched a butterfly flying out of my lady, how cute I thought...a month later started what we first thought was bud rot. Started the awful gut wrenching cutting of entire colas that were just rotting. But almost every time I'd split a bud open to stare at the ugly damage and loss I'd find a little green caterpillar. Finally came to the conclusion I should have blow torched that stupid butterfly! It was bud rot yes but caused by the worm eating and secreting who the hell knows what on my buds! Don't trust butterflies, they're shady creatures!

Little beautiful bastards is right!! Sometimes I'll stand by my passion flower vine, following the monarch butterfly and squashing each egg she lays... I hope the monarch butterfly right to lifers don't get after me....
