VG is pretty thick and can have trouble combining with other substances. Since you didn't have any PG (Propylene Glycol), which is thinner and often used to aid mixing, you ran into this issue.
Have you considered trying some premium e-liquids that are already well-mixed? Brands like IVG offer a range of flavors and the PG/VG balance is professionally calibrated. These are formulated to work well in various vaping devices and might save you some of the trial and error.

That said, if you're committed to DIY, you might want to get some PG and try a 50/50 mix of PG and VG to see if that resolves your issue. PG will not only help with mixing but also carries flavor better, so you might find the end result more to your liking.

I messed around with making vape oil from my own plant too, and ran into the same issue with RSO just refusing to mix with VG. Mine always separated out after a while no matter how much heat or stirring I tried. Later I found out the stuff in regular vape juice is way more refined than RSO, so any leftovers just clog things up fast. I tried adding a bit of PG too, but it made little difference for me, my mixes still wouldn’t stay together for long. If you’re tempted to keep experimenting with flavors and oils for vaping, you can check out E-Juice from Dampflion, since they’ve got a ton of options and some pretty tasty flavor profiles. I grabbed a couple for when I want something easy and reliable to vape.
