***UPDATE*** Well here it is Thursday (these 4 plants are now into week 10 of flower this coming Sunday) and I think 2 plants might be ready to harvest as I noticed not so many white hairs and a good percentage of the hairs has turned color and curled in, trichomes are white to clear, did not see any amber. Looks like I'll be busy tomorrow or by the weekend. The other 2 plants aren't quite there yet but getting close (never had them go this far, I just may cut them too, decisions, decisions...) The other 2 Sativa tall girls not even close. I am leaning towards true land race Sativa as these are going at a little slower pace.

***UPDATE*** - So today marks 10 weeks into flower and I am thinking these may be ready to harvest. 2 look good enough to go and the other 2 are right behind. Haven't seen any amber trichomes but pretty good on white and not too much clear... Here are the ones I think are ready... Click image for larger version

Congratulations on making it this far!
I'd say that the first two could be in the harvest window, if that's your preference. Me personally, I'd at see what at least another week does.

Maybe someone else can chime in.

I really don't go by "windows" as this has proven to be very unreliable, time in flower, percentage of colored hairs curled in and of course the trichomes. Will see what happens after this weekend...

Here are the other 2 that are running a little behind... These 2 are still waiting to be picked, now is when I get leery when I get to this point in time for harvest!!!

I try to balance the time in flower, amount of hair color and how much has curled in, and trichomes. Really tough to hit that "sweet spot".

Nice and frosty. It's tough to tell when they are ripe while foxtailing. Just pulled a lsd25 auto that had it bad.

Yes, this one is getting very chunky, wasn't expecting the fox tailing but it keeps bulking up; as soon as hairs get more noticeable change in color (still a lot of white) that is when she gets the axe. The other one isn't too far behind.

***UPDATE*** So here I am 10weeks and 4 days into flower and I believe these next 2 girls are ready. I woke up this am and found 1 poor girl was just hanging down all over (top heavy) so I propped her up for now. The 2nd girl (my bulked-up girl) is really plump and I believe this one is also ready as the hairs are less predominant and trichomes are almost complete white. Here the fat girl... This one doesn't have as many darkened hairs, almost reminds me of the "old school sensimilla" and I am still a little leery on this one as it hasn't changed as much as the other one. Maybe let this one goes a little longer?

I may also change my plan just due to the plants themselves which from the leaves they are Sativa, and this changes timing, I would like a little more color and less white hairs but the trichomes are looking good. So it will be going into 11 weeks come this Sunday, the wait continues...

I also cut back on the amount of light to the plants as well since I am down to 4 and probably don't need as much light as I did for 6 that breaks down to 2 plants per 1 light setup which should help on the electric bill.

Here is an interesting topic "fox tailing". Ever had this happen? My current grow as shown about shows this condition. Why? I do not know. Researching this it is either 2 things happening (so "they" say) heat or light stress, take your pick. Ever consider it may be possibly genetics as well? I have reduced the amount of light and they are approximately 2 feet above the plants so that kind of eliminates that issue, they are not burnt nor are they stressed out. I have seen pictures on this site which almost look like my current buds so what gives on this topic? Yes, the buds are nice and bulky and covered in trichomes and are progressing towards the final week (12 weeks indoors for sativa, so "they" say) and the hairs are turning more color as expected by waiting another week, they are almost ready!

My room temp is constant 76 degrees, humidity at 45% NO nutrients for the last month, only ph 6.5 water, there is nothing else that could have contributed to this, so I think it's the plants themselves.

What is your experience with this phenomena?

It can definitely be heat or light stress, but it is also carried with certain genetics as well. My experience? I think I definitely blasted them with to much and to close lighting. And the trim, my hell...it sucked! Probably halfway through the trim I just started chopping it all up for the butter jar, lol.
