Black stuff growing on flowers?

Holes in leaves are bugs. Black things are bug poop.
Picture four with the super crispy leaf. You have some web spinner hanging around. Could be caterpillars have been at work. It doesn't look like spider mites. Since the damage looks old (crispy,) they either went away or are cocooning somewhere on your plant.
Turn over a few leaves and see what's there. Get your eyes under the canopy. Like, get the bottom of your pot to eye level and look up into your plant with a good flashlight. Someone has mentioned using a black light to look for poop. It fluoresces. Who knew? Someone really knows their poop! It will be on tops of leaves or buds, not under. When you find a nice bug poop, look under the leaves above.
C'mon, mule!
