    Apical dominance

A curious mind wants to know. How is apical dominance affected if the apical bud is lower than the bud site of the secondary branch?

I don't believe it will since auxins are only produced in the apical bud.

Very good question. I will usually train the tallest branch down by bowing it during veg which causes lots of new branch growth. So instead of having 1 or 2 primary colas I end up with several. I'm not a fan of Christmas tree plants.

I LST same as crucialbunny and im sure it has an effect on lower bud sites. Come harvest time there isnt much difference between main stem bud vs the secondary buds. Had to search auxins and they are found in shoots and root tips. interesting read.
