    Sucker leaves

    Can I trim off the big sucker leaves so my buds get more lite without hurting my plant

      Sucker leaves? If you mean fan leaves be careful with defoliating...leaves are crucial to growth as they are the solar(light) collectors. training or manifolding (photoperiod only) is the better way to get more light to flower sites on lower parts of the plant.
      I hope there is an afterlife...there are a lot of friends and family I'd like to see again, one day.

        Simple answer, yes, as long as you have enough fan leaves left to do their job.

          Initially I only remove leaves that are blocking bud sites or are in shadow.

            Agree with OldManGrower and only the bottom 1/3 of the plant to expose lower branches or covering any branches with buds or have dark shadowy spots. Sometimes you can move the fan leaf out of the way, or "tucking" it.
