    First time DWC

I have about one year experience growing MJ… I have gotten through 3 indoor harvests and one outdoor harvest… My yields have not been great but I did harvest a fair amount of weed…
I put together four 5 gallon buckets to try DWC… I am in the process of germinating a couple of White Widow photos and in a couple of weeks will be starting a couple of White Widow autos….
Wondering which will finish first the photos or the autos, will let you know…

I have done a fair amount of research but if any of you hydro guys can add some of the pitfalls, it would be greatly appreciated… I will be using Flora Nova as the primary nutrients, would I
need any supplements? Thanks Muskie Man

Howdy MuskieMan, I am just starting my eleventh DWC grow and I have learned the following'
    1. Keep the water very well aerated, I use four 4 inch by 2 inch air stones in my six gallon reservoirs (BubblrPhonic style).
    2. Keep the water temperature between 62° F and 70° F (17° C - 21° C), I use ice bottles (0.7 Liter) changed out as needed.
    3. Probably the most important one, block out ALL light leaks into the reservoirs. Do not use any clear tubing, cover over the Hydro-ton pebbles with aluminum foil, and make sure that on light can come thru the buckets or reservoir.
    Good luck with Your growing.
    Smoke weed,.....grow peace!

      Everything DW2 suggested is spot-on.
When I started my dwc adventure 5 years ago, it was in 5 gal. buckets,
I didn't have any type of chiller, so I used beneficial microbes to keep root rot at bay.
Hydroguard and then GFF allowed me to run this system with water temps in the upper 70's.
I will say that ultimately if you decide to focus on dwc a chiller WILL be in your future.
