Prices are insane even with 25% off!

Nirvana seeds are now in the US, and their prices are for those with more money than brains!

That speaks volumes to why I make my own seeds! Looks like they marked them up 75+% so they can give 25% off.
    I pass! LOL

I had one for years back in the day. Loved the motion except when trashed on ethanol.

I still have quite a hoard of Nirvana's seeds. I will preserve their genetics with cloning and breeding their seeds. I wonder if you can still order from Amsterdam, or if you are locked into the American pricing? I am certain the latter. Unfortunately I grew my last Nirvana White Widow this last season. I did order the other day from new420guy. He gave me a deal of 8 White Widows for $37.00. His business should pick up. Interesting place where he moved to. https://www.google.com/maps/place/Sc...!4d-118.811256 Ghost dancing 101.

I'm with you on new420guy starramus . Bought 8. Got 4 free Zkittlez. Lots of stickers and a refrigerator magnet. Less than $100, I believe.

I've used him for years now never had issue with shipping and his prices are fair. Those Zkittlez beans of his are great strong fast grower. You may get a dwarf now an then off his lower end autos but it's not a detour for me. I hope the WW meet your expectations starramus. And Gingerbeard i still have those Zkittlez beans a couple of them very laid back smoke.

I bought from him back in 2018, and got a couple of healthy males from 2 of the seeds. Wasn't his fault, but one of the breeders he must have trusted a bit blindly.. How ya gonna know? He gave me a deal on the WWs so I am a renewed ecstatic camper. I grew a couple of his WW Autos that year that tuned out nicely.

I don't believe Nirvana's explosive pricing is going to go over to well even here in "the land of the fee, and the home of the knave"!

ive used new420guy for years now as well. I got a regular auto called blue haze widow. I grew out a male and made myself some auto seeds. Taste like blueberry and nice resin aftertaste. Takes training like a champ even in soil and yields average qp per plant if gone smoothly. I can usually get a nice 3 week veg in before it flowers. Im tempted to manifold one in DWC sometime and see what i can get lol but that might be pushing it.

ID:	550530 Some while back I did try to place another order with Nirvana, but discovered we Americanos are locked into the stateside pricing. This price prison to subsidize their move to the states is unconscionable! Sadly I say fare thee well to Nirvana. From my last six footer Maui I have taken 12 clones 2 that I bloomed, 2 mothers, and 8 additional clones. 13 plants from one seed, and more on the way all speaking with a Dutch accent. In addition I still have 4 more Maui seeds. I gotta be set for life. As for Nirvana screw-em! Also I still have quite a stash of a number of their other strains all with the fine Amsterdam genetics .

What is a reasonable commercial price for a seed? Fem? Reg? Auto?

Adding some color - I paid $5.95 per seed for 20 Super Silver Haze

I set for years with seeds and clones are the way to go for me. I see $10-12 per seed fems photo and upwards on these popular seed seller sites. I send my money to Nevada if i ever need seeds.

              Think big picture,

The numbers below are based on my average yield of 6-8 ounces per plant.

My seed cost now is $8.75/ seed. This adds $1.10-$1.46 per ounce to my grow cost.
At $20.00/seed my cost would increase to $ 2.50- $3.34 per ounce.
For quality genetics I wouldn't have a problem absorbing that cost per ounce increase.
My motto is "spend a nickel more and go first class."

Depends on who is doing the pollen chucking. I get a laugh out of these new guys selling 10 F1 beans for 200 and you can't find anyone who has heard of them. But you can buy 7 beans from sweet seeds for 45 bucks and get a few beans free. My last order from Memphisto I got a total of 6 beans for 40 bucks but if you buy from a bank 3 will cost you 45.

This is all very interesting to me. I generally tend to pay about $8-9 per seed, occasionally a touch more. I only order 8-10 seeds as a time and they usually come with three or four freebies. So, at $9 each plus the freebies I tend to pay about $6.25 plus shipping. If they germinate and they usually do, I can live with this pricing. I agree with Quirk, considering the value of the crop and all of the other stuff we purchase to indulge in this hobby it isn't much money. If your are growing in commercial quantities, then it can add up.

One thing I do not do is chase the latest "Strain of the Month" These are the really expensive seeds and most of the cost is due to marketing. Previous years models work just as well as new ones. The growers need to keep developing new strains in order to remain relevant in the market and to earn higher profits derived from the new product.
Current Grow: 1 GG4, 2 Hot Cakes, 1 Sweet Gelato Autos
