    Fertilizer crystallization

My Dyna Gro Foliage Pro fertilizer is settling crystals at the bottom of the container that don't mix. I keep the bottle in my refrigerator, not cold enough for ice crystals, and the crystals do not melt in water. The new bottle, not refrigerated, does not have them. The ferts are only a couple months old, in my possession.
    Anyone know what's going on?

Just guessing but possibly the saturation point of the nutes is such that any change will trigger some to come out of solution. I’m sure I read somewhere that this is why you have to be cautious about getting nutes from one bottle into another if you are using a pipette or something similar. It might also be that refrigerating them changes the saturation point amd the crystals are what was pushed out of solution.

I’m not an expert, it might also be someone was smuggling rare diamonds across the border in nute bottles and you accidentally got the bottle 🙂

Nah. These are more like meth crystals. Worth much more.
It's not mixing nutes. I have to pour because the bottle has such a small mouth. The refrigeration thing might be it. The bottle says to add warm water and blah blah if it gets frozen.
I checked the flowering nutes that were also in the fridge and can hear the crystals sloshing around. That bottle is sitting on the counter to get back to room temperature. The unopened bottle of veg nutes in my closet doesn't have the sound.

Have had that happen to me with the Dynagrow nutes before. Doesn't seem to affect the effectiveness of the product. I think DeadlyFruit is right that it has something to do with the saturation point of the nutes.

Thanks for confirmation Bowhunterwoody . I sent an email to the company to see what they say.

Are you supposed to store it in a fridge? Maybe that's the problem. Many of them just say to store in a cool dry place out of the light. If it doesn't say "refrigerate after opening" on the bottle then that could be your problem
I hope there is an afterlife...there are a lot of friends and family I'd like to see again, one day.

I'm 100% with you dilvish . The only warning type words were what to do if it freezes. Nothing about refrigeration. My Fox Farm nutes
stayed in the refrigerator and I figured it would be good for Dyna-Gro.
The bottles are now in a kitchen cupboard.
