Live in the desert and electricity is expensive, can they go out for some sun?
Thinking 6 hours sun then 6 hours tent?

Absolutely! Wish I could do that, but I'm not legal and neighbors too close.

Easing them into it as suggested and they seem to be doing great, Perhaps it's the angle of winter sun versus summer sun.
Cannot vision what would happen if I put them out during on of our 'nuclear summer days' when it's 116F and 0 humidity.

Looking lovely! 🌿 After 16 inches of snow and single digit temps yesterday, your post is warming me up! 😊 Just don't burn them with the sunshine...they might need a gradual adjustment time to direct sun. Enjoy! 🌻

Here we say we traded being house bound in winter for being house bound in summer. As July/August it's over 110F for weeks.

Thanks for the input, think I'll break them in slowly and see how they do.
Yeah, glad it's legal for us to grow 6 plants, plus I'm no longer drug tested.....

          lovely bottle brushes!!

also, i do this with seedlings and have not experienced sunburn...i have seen birds eyeing them though so i rigged up a little "scarebird thingy" to keep 'em away!

My main concern moving plants outside and then back in would be bugs/pests being taken back inside

Gotta agree with you on that. I do a 'once over' before i put them back in the tent, but have Neem oil on standby.
The only pests I've had so far came in with the clones, but as I was advised here, a fan blowing across the top soil solved the problem.
