Well, the last bud is jarred on what I can only categorize as a disappointing grow season.
Made a crucial mistake this year right off the bat by starting my grow on March 1st instead
of my usual April start. Re-veg can be a very harsh mistress and I learned it the hard way.
Ended up with 15 quart jars of respectable manicured bud but I was hoping for better. The
centerpiece of this years grow was supposed to be some OG Kush that turned out to be
temperamental little bitches that didn't like the outdoors at all and I fought bud rot throughout.
On the bright side of things, the FreakShow girls thrived after a bit of a slow start. Raspberry
    Parfait
provided ample albeit smallish purple nuggets that just refused to develop amber
trichomes. The Dwarves . . . Well, I'd rather not even go there. Seems I bred them into plants
that grew more like cacti than weed and I just ended up shit canning them. Another aspect of this
grow was that I discovered "feminized" in the cannabis world is still a crapshoot causing me to
have far fewer plants than expected. I started 3 High Tide CBD feminized beans and all were
male. Two out of my five OG Kush fems went male as well.

Now that everything is jarred I'm hoping my home will lose its ungodly aroma. The diesel
smell of Sativa combined with the dankness of the Indica created a heavy aroma of what I
can best categorize as old cat piss. Lessons learned I guess, and now all that's left is to
clean up my growing area and start recycling the soil and planning for next year. Maybe I'll
try my hand at some indoor growing this time. Who knows?

After my first real attempt at growing weed outside this year I feel anything you get into a jar is a accomplishment. Believe me, I know it’s heartbreaking to tend to a plant 6-7 months just to watch it slowly go south at the end. Even though you hoped for more, you have 15 jars of a few different strains that you grew! Congratulations 👍🏻👍🏻

I had a decent year growing outside with 2 stunted plants and 2 huge trees but I honestly think this might be my last outdoor grow. It isn’t because I am not getting enough from the plants (after I finish with the last tree I will have about 2 lbs dry weight from 4 plants) it is just trying to take care of the plants between summer travels and fighting with bud rot/WPM/bugs etc. which I never get indoors. If the grow is successful then it becomes a race against the fall weather to get it to maturity while trying to ignore the side eye from my neighbours as the plants get more and more stinky and then a huge effort processing it all in cold wet October weather. I think I enjoy the indoor grows more. I produce less indoors but I can’t use everything I grow as it is. The space I built in my garage is big enough that I can keep a little camp chair in there and sit there in the middle of winter with the greenery and a warm bright HPS light and pretend I am on a tropical holiday. The smell never escapes my garage so I don’t feel like I am stinking out the neighbourhood (I like the smell but I can understand why others don’t). Maybe I’ll change my mind next spring but for now I am thinking of taking summers off.

I love growing outdoors. There's really no replacing natural sunlight. Because I have my grow on a 3rd floor balcony, bugs and neighbors don't cause me too many problems. All my issues this year stemmed from planting early. I germinated March 1st and I was stunned when the plants began flower late May. Come mid June they began re-veg and all hell broke loose. Bud rot was only an issue with the Kush plants so I assume it was a strain problem. Next year my Indica strain will be Vanilla Frosting which is supposed to be a hearty outdoor grower. I do have an indoor grow area I use for rooting my clones but one of my main reasons for growing is the sun on my back and face.

Oh man crucialbunny i'm miss feeling the warm sunshine already LOL i love working with the sun on my back. And i sure know the F-ing reveg traumas it's a growers nightmare, hence it's 2nd week of June to put out in my area but weather is the key also. Like you smaller indica or hybrid or autos with more vigor. I still have one more to harvest from outdoors in that tent she's still looking OK stigmas are slowly changing it's gonna be iffy as now she's really producing the resins an sticky as heck so i'm looking at the possible signs for rot beginning. She's a heavy gal.
