Just a guess sandy but I'm thinking possible over watering with oxygen deprivation. Can't tell what kind or size of your pot.

Maybe it didn't like what you sprayed on it - or - calcium/magnesium deficiency - or - pH has been out of whack ?

It could probably use another transplant.

All of the above. But it looks like the problem has been solved. It looks like only old, 3 finger fans are spotted. Nothing in the middle or top. The damage is also old.

Perhaps also some nitrogen toxicity with the dark color at top and clawing leaves I just noticed. Overfed nitro now?

Thanks for all advice- I planto transplant (perhaps) to a bigger pot, I have not sprayed anything on the plant, and not feeding any nitro as far as I know. Ph meter ordered but not arrived yet

              Thanks Sandy

Hey sandyinlondon yes you are giving it high levels of N by what is in the soil. All the leaf is not forming right it's mutated by the soil. Looks like a reveg old plant? Bat guano is hot read about it?

              #8
Ok - pH is 6.35 I think thats Ok...? I will try to dilute the guano in the soil by adding extra pearlite...so you think this is excess nitrogen? Strange would have thought that was good for most plants?

I am learning, as I said before - this is harder than it seems...

              Thanks

              Sandy

Hang in there, you'll get it. Read all you can on the main site (even the stuff you don't think you need). It can be overwhelming at times with all the information, but try to soak up as much as you can. And listen to what all these fine folks are suggesting, they know their stuff.
