Dudeguyfellaman. I was trying to be P.C. and figure out what that person's code words for weed were. Buddy and I called it 'Bob' when we were young'uns. Onion might mean sativa? Shallot might be Indica? DEA doesn't look for words like onion or shallot.
I was also looking to up my manhood with the Viking talk.

I'm still not sure which came first the onion or the leek or the shallot?

LOL well done billyboy bet your getting restless to begin? We are still hotter than heck here, looking at the " ring of fires" around our state. Heat wave again this week in the 100s f gonna have to rethink fall tent beginning here. It's so awful hot and dry.

    #4
@SoOrbudgal - Exactly right. I think we hit pretty much summer peak this week. So I am hoping that I can manage through early veg and by the time I am building the manifolds the temps will be more reasonable. It got hot today, I have been running it empty and experimenting with the exhaust outside an the intakes to make sure I can shed enough heat running at 1K watts with the MH. Still got too hot today. Going to drop the beans in the shot glass on Saturday I think.

Yes i did a similar thing testing the heat with my older LEDs even if i had a fan on them still to dry and warm so like you with my clones i'm waiting another 10days before i put them in there. They are not growing rapidly now anyway because i've just got them sitting outdoors on patio. Nothing but ambiant light. I reckon they'll explode or not once transplanted into final pot. Man overnight lows are in the 60s. here. I'm putting mine into just 3gal fabric cause they will stay in a 3x3 for as long as it takes till i like there size and training then move them inside larger house tent. That's 12/12 at least it's my plan we'll see.

Hope you get great germination billyboy looks like i may have to place pots of water an hang wet towels LOL

Three Lemon OG Kush feminized (https://www.seedsman.com/en/lemon-og-feminised-seeds-8) and seven Skunk #1 regular seeds (https://www.seedsman.com/en/original...eebie-worth-16) are out of the shot glasses and into the paper towels. Hope to be getting them in the dirt tomorrow. MIght need some of the rooter plugs - we'll see.

Happy to have a grow starting! Looking forward to that Skunk - the wife is looking forward to the Lemon Kush so everyone will be pleased :-)

Off to a good start. All ten beans that went into the shot glasses sprouted. 3 fem and 7 regular so with any luck I'll have 6 female plants for this grow.

The homemade terrarium was fun to make - but we'll see how it does

This is going to be awsome to watch old school good luck with the ratio of fems.

            30 hours later - 10 beans / 10 sprouts

I lowered the lights because they looked a little stretchy. Now the temps are up. Is there an upper limit for the seedlings for temps I want to avoid? They seem to love the hot and moist air to a degree.

Here is the sensor data from inside the terrarium. Running at 94 degrees now with the humidity around 75%

The runts had some decent roots so rather than destroy them we'll see how they do. Managed to get al 10 transplanted into 3 gal pts for the rest of the grow. We'll see how many females I get out of the regular Skunk seeds

                Good roots here

They took a big drink and i do not see any signs of transplant shock. I think they grew a bit overnight (MH 1000w light helps I believe)

                #12
Got a good little crop going so far. I am starting to think I may have a bunch of girls on my hands. Going to try and see if they are old enough to sex looking at the pre-flowers near the growth tips: https://www.growweedeasy.com/preflowers

We'll see how it goes. I need to get the manifolds started soon!

In that last pic - it is the runty little one that I was going to give up on, but saw it had some roots and maybe had a chance. The plant topped itself and all of a sudden is going strong with two main stems. Going to just leave it alone and see what happens. Maybe I'll top it again if it turns out to be female.

One good feeding and they are growing fast again. Got one showing brown spots. Unfortunately a Lemon OG which was a feminized seed and so should be a girl. Same food, soil, light, ph'd water, Rh etc. Not sure why just the one is in some distress.

Getting some concerning yellowing on the older growth. I have seen the fan leaves die early before when building the base of the manifold but this is different I think. All of them are reacting on the same exact way. I have been eyeballing the pH down so maybe I am off. Will test tomorrow and see. The rest of the growth looks great.
