Good luck. I've only grown a few autos and I've already seen one phenotype I'm sure the breeder didn't intend!. On the other hand, Seedsman Northern Lights auto and Seedsman Pink Kush CBD have done well for a guy just playing with autos.

I just found real (almost) Panama Red REGULAR seeds at Ace! The AG is proving more elusive...everybody has fems ! It seems that strain is pretty well guarded, go figure! My last resort will be to hermie one for seed but they will all be female so no breeding true but maybe some interesting pheno from a cross of the two. MORE POWER! Ya think ?? I'm excited about the Panama Red tho. They are a cross of 3 100% Sativas from Panama so probably as close to original as you get.

newbutoldgrower75 Yeah I know what you mean. Another learning experience in my growing life. A bit of a challenge for us old school growers, but hey why not non ?

Bring it on for the Haze girls, I have the light intensity for them after all they are mostly Sativa dominant..!

Farmbuck I 100% agree with you buddy. Isn't that what growing is all about .. trying new things, learning, and gaining more experience/skills to become a better grower? Just a bit like life really😉. I'm rooting for the Haze girls mate .. you definitely have the experience with Sativa dominant plants

This is 'merica, y'all! Talk out yer 'merican mouth!

I would prefer you grow photos than autos Farmbuck . Autos are the lazy dope smokers' plant of choice. Photos have mystery, intrigue. Did you know I was the only person I knew who didn't know what sex my first son was going to be? You gots-ta live on the edge, dudemanbro. An auto is nothing more than a fem that doesn't get topped. Take your beans back for some autos or don't show me pictures of your next grow.

I sure hope you get nice big autos Farmbuck

I have a Wild Thai seedling that's got roots coming out the sides of the starters. My closet is still on 18/6 to finish two autos. Would you transplant into a cup or peat pot, or into its final fabric pot? My light choices right now are the Aero-Garden or the closet. (In the past I emptied the water out of the A-G, used the 'bowl' to hold the plants and just used the AG's lights.) What light schedule do you grow your sativas? If the other WT bean pops I'll use the closet to grow my two medicinal plants and maybe try another auto elsewhere, with the older light. I'm not going to have much to smoke from my first auto experience. Thnx!

Merci, mon ami Farmbuck. One other Q, what size bags - 5 gallon? I have 3's here, must order soon if 5's. I read all of the links you posted, they suggested a short light period and zero transplanting, but 18/6 is OK for veg? I either have to grow this or not have it, and I need it. I'd rather have 3 indicas growing.

You are right a short period of veg when it comes to a Sativa dominant , a Sativa cross with another one or a pure strain. 4 weeks to 6 weeks is the norm for vegging before the switch. Yeah keep it at 18/6 before the 12/12, Sativa loveeeeee light intensity indoor. I use the 5 gallon type half are fabric the other half are plastic pots.

After reading all of the comments here Puglover1 I'm kinda wonder now !!! Ahhhh putain de merde !!!! Ahhhhhhh la vache !!!

Some of you people really crumb my cookies. I'm not saying autos are bad for everyone. Just folks who know how to grow for reals, for reals. What sort of hash do you suppose you'll get? Your hash pictures will be nothing to post about. I'm sure. We can talk about this later.

In retrospect, I might have said autos are bad for everyone, to paraphrase myself. Photos or fems for life!

Some autos do have the same THC content as photos. So why shouldn’t the hash not be just as great ?🤣.
I’m literally using everything on my plants.. Buds and everything. I’m not saying the are better than photos, but if they reach the same THC content - and you make dry sift hash.. it really doesn’t matter what plant the Kief came from 🤣. Beside taste…

So because you had have some bad experiences with autos and apparently also with making hash from them 🤷🏼‍♂️😅. Doesn’t mean everyone is going to get that feeling 😆

Dear Mr. Gingerbeard do you need some hugs? Just try some autos sometime, they have come along way and you can get real good outcomes if you don't mess with them too much. I love photos they are my favorite also, it's easy to have 2 different genetics grow at the same time. Very fun when you have to wait an get antsy for the photos you got 6wks earlier harvest with autos it's like Christmas every couple months almost.

I've done two freebie autos. One had a cola as big as one of my fists on top of the other. It dried into a fluffy feather. The other had no more than a few popcorn kernel nugs.

My single, personal experience should be enough to dissuade every person everywhere from growing autos and persuade every person everywhere that cats are bleh and the Norwegian womens' handball team should stick to revealing attire on the beach. It's the beach, for godsake!

Same here. I might weigh my runt now, it's at 61% in its teeny tiny little jar, popcorn. I think less it's than an1/8th oz. Time and energy spent on almost nothing while playing this summer's weather growing indoors.

          #14
Autos are a cool side grow indoors if you have room for them while vegging your photos. Everytime I only grow autos I think of all the watts wasted on this little runt of a plant. Outdoors is a different story. That’s where my remaining autos will be grown.

Couldn’t agree more bboyfromwayback. I never have autos inside my tent. But every summer I have in the garden. And I only water them witch calmag nothing more. 10 weeks later I have 40-50g dried from that plant. And I make 10-14 of these every summer. And it goes into the dry sift process

I am both omni present and potent, CaptainWiese91 . I am tangenital. My experiences should drive those of others. My single bad experience with autos nullifies all others' years of good experiences. Ergo (ergot), no one has ever had a decent auto experience! Most definitely especially those who say they have.

I'm also omnilogical and a jelly donut.

The one thing i knew was - that you will give me that kind of answer 😁.
Again I’m not saying autos are better than photos. And autos will never come into my tent. But for outside and almost free weed to make hash of when growing outside..

There is literally no downside from that?🤷🏼‍♂️

I agree on autos are like “rolling the dice” you never k ow what you get.. but this is why I’m growing the shit outside and not paying any electricity for it.

The tangenital answer or the jelly donut answer?

I guess, if you're not putting much effort into them, outside autos are okay.

            Both honestly 🤷🏼‍♂️🤣

I do not put a lot of effort in them. But everyone of the plants is giving me minimum 40g dried. And with 14 of them, it’s a good amount of buds for hash making.

About the shape, the density and leaves on auto buds. I share the same opinion as you. But when you literally just water them as all the other flowers in the garden, there is no effort at all. Only the hash making is the hardest part lol
