I'm not a big fan of DIY projects, but I could definitely advise using purifier with washable filters for growing, they easy to clean and their main advantage that you don't need to change them on the monthly basis!

Except that we're filtering for odor...not particulates. Activated carbon isn't washable, but it does soak up odors very, very well. Particulate filters don't.Space 1: 3ft x 3ft T-Tek tent
