    Growing plants of colour outside

I have seed for several plants of colour, (must be PC LOL), they produce blue, black and purple depending on strain/hybrid. I have grown some inside (purples) under LED and these seem to get light fade very easily. Anyone growing any of these colourful plants outside? Did it suffer light fade/burn? I can place then so they get evening shade, but could that still be to much light for these hybrids?
    What say all y'all?

I grew several purple strains in a fall crop last year. They did not start to turn purple till the nights got at or below 40 degrees.

The Greasy Grapes was purpling with 60s, when it went outside in the cool and sun she purpled up good!

I’ve grown purples from the same package inside and out at the same time and only the outdoor plants had a real lasting colour change. As desertdan said, I think it is temperature related (cooler nights while still warm in the days). The indoors had a little bit of colour but it didn’t extend into the bud, just leaves and stems.

Yes temps play a roll in the colour change, but so does genetics.

I've got some Purple Haze about to be chopped that is the only PH that's ever turned purple for me. I grew it in coco under a T5 panel with two LED replacement tubes. It did see some temps in the 50s (F) about a month or so ago. Click image for larger version

Nice bud shot! I hate it that some dont do what the breeder claims, unless you chill them.

I too have noticed excessive pale-ing with my Alaskan Purple indoors under an LED. The purple comes through okay but the rest of the plant does seem to suffer a type of light burn. Perhaps this strain does better under HID. HPS or natural sunlight...
I hope there is an afterlife...there are a lot of friends and family I'd like to see again, one day.

I'll be going outside with a Greasy Grapes clone, we'll see how well she tolerates sunshine! She certainly faded under LED.

This I think was a purple punch (might have been ayahuasca purple - they got mixed up unfortunately) from last summer. Unfortunately this is the best pic I have of it but it developed more purple as the summer went on. I didn’t notice any fading etc.

Well I dropped some Blueberry, Black Domina x BB3, Dresden Green Diamond x BB3, Blue Dream x BB3, and BB F4. The Wet Teddy Bears are up, and will put a Greasy Grapes clone with them for some weirdness.

This strain had no purple in the name. Got more color as it got colder. Nights mid 40s days mid 70s.
