    Auto cloner upkeep

Hey family. I just recently discovered auto cloners. So I want one. Man they are expensive to buy. Read the reviews to multiple. Read best rated ones. This and that. Well they all seemed kinda like junk when I read the reviews.
so I did some research and built one out of a 5gal craftsman container. 160gph submersible pump, 4 sprayer tips and some PVC. I got some inserts and pump and sprayers at garden store. Rest at lowes.
it's so easy. Works really well.
I havent used it with my clippings yet because I just made it.
    My questions are this....
    1. What do I need to add to the water?
    2. What problems could arise?
    3. Will the water breed bacteria of the bad sorts?
    4. Do I need to add an air stone and pump for it?

Petty questions. I'll probally have more.
Any advise or tips will be helpful. Thanks. Click image for larger version

Love this idea @HobbitGDF I started looking at them after last weeks email. And I'm interested in the responses you get to your questions. But I have 1 for you knowing there will need to be a certain amount of pressure to hold the pucks in place what is the difference between the puck and hole diameters?

      Thanks gal-pal !
I am very proud of my self for this and the speed in which its done.
I feel like it is going to be better than one I could of bought. I didn't want to chance getting one that was whack!.
Do you know what to add to the water? CloneX? Any kinda of nutrients?
I have 'cloning and grow' nutes in one. Should I add some of that liquid? I add it to foliar spray and use that to spray the pellets.
Shoot I should market these on Ebay, with my mycology supplies I make on there. Lol.
Thanks again. Should be lil easier for me. I rooted some somango in the cloning done in 12 days. Remember the jolly rancher gelato clippings that wouldnt root well till like 4 weeks or more.. I believe it was the plant not my fault.
Regardless this should increase that time.

The main thing I had a problem with was my sprayers got clogged pretty quick. Otherwise the system I built worked great. I ended up just drilling small holes so the water sprayed the pots.

I usually take clones, put them in a 1 gallon pot, water and throw a freezer bag over it and leave it alone for a few days. I've found that to be the easiest way to clone in soil. Very little work and they usually start growing in about a week to a week and a half. You can always try both methods and see what you like better.
