Has anyone here followed GrowWeedEasy/Nebula's nutrient schedule?

The GrowWeedEasy website has a guide to using the General Hydroponics Flora Trio + CaliMagic that consistently uses less nutrients than most other schedules and guides. I made some calculations based on both their table for a soilless grow and the official recommended General Hydroponics' table, and found that whereas the GH schedule is consistent with what most growers recommend — that is, to increase the amount of nutrients as the plant develops, reaching as far as 1000 ppm as it approaches late blooming —, the GWE schedule keeps it roughly constant throughout most of the process at around a mere 300 ppm. Attached below are the charts for the total nutrient concentration (N, P, K, Mg, Ca, S, Zn, Mn, Fe, B, Cu, Mo) for both schedules, as well as their NPK concentration.

Has anyone here followed the GWE nutrient schedule? Or perhaps could anyone chime in on their approach to feeding the plants? Thank you!

Most people generally over feed their plants. Her feeding schedule is geared towards growing healthy pants without over feeding them.

Here's what they wrote in the guide: "Personally, we’ve found the extra supplements and higher levels of nutrients recommended by General Hydroponics to be unnecessary. We get great results using the more simple and cannabis-specific nutrient levels recommended by our custom schedule". From this, it almost seems like they are saying you won't get better results from the extra feeding that most people give their plants. I'm curious if anyone here has tried something similar.
Right now, I'm pushing my plants to their limit nutrient-wise, but perhaps that isn't really helping much, if not even hindering their development somewhat.

Exactly. The plants can only use so much of a certain nutrient, after that you’re just wasting it. Best way is to try it out yourself and see what you like the best. Personally I only give the plants enough nutrients to keep them healthy. I’m concerned with quality, not quantity and in my personal experience nutes do nothing to improve the quality. If anything they hinder it

The nutrient schedules I used to make those charts are for drain-to-waste grows, using coco coir, perlite, etc. They also have schedules for hydroponics in general, but I'm currently interested in soilless grows.

I am guessing that you are a numbers person Great charts! I saved them, hope you don't mind. I have just started following the GWE Floratrio with Calimagic applications guide but I am early in my grow. I have had troubles with nutrients in past grows. So, I thought I'd try following the GWE guide that other people have had success with. Use it as a guide and see how it goes. I also read the statement that you quoted above on the guide page regarding the extra level of nutes not being required...only one way to find out if this is true I guess....if your plants now look good, no reason to back of with your nutrient application strengths. But if you are having issues, Start with the guide and work up.

That’s a great way to look at it and experience is always best. Grow two plants of the same strain only give one more nutes and give one less then compare results. I believe you’ll realize then that the less is more approach is not only cheaper but more effective. Your light is king, followed by environment when growing inside.

I'll give the GWE nutrient schedule a try as soon as my clones "come of age", but right now I should probably feed my plants a little less.
Eventually I'll tidy up my nutrient spreadsheets and share them here for others to use and improve. Let us know, when you finish your current grow, if the GWE schedule is worth it

The advantages of growing in an organic soil mix. At least you don't have to worry over a nutrient schedule, just water them often enough and enjoy. But I suppose I kind of like worrying over them a little lol

When I switched to coco, I've always used Nebula's GH feeding schedule and have been pleased with results. I had issues with rust spots on leaves until I figured out my water source had plenty of ca/mg and didn't need additional ca/mg supplement.

That's good to know, I won't use the General Hydroponics products as I intend to make my own solutions, but I'll try to use the GWE schedule as a starting point and make my own feeding charts as the plants develop. Thanks.

I've been using Nebula's formula for five grows. My truth is that it is a good guide but you have to pay attention to the plant. There is no fire and forget. Regarding Calmag, my water apparently has very little. I tend to err on the sloppy side of caution (heaping teaspoon). Good luck!
