    Odor

I got one of the Ona blocks I saw recommended to help control the odor. I understand I should not put it in the same room as my plants but can it go in the closet in the room with the door closed or is it better to just have it in an adjacent room?

Never heard of that. I'll never make a run without a charcoal filter. It's a necessity in my mind.

[qoute]The ONA Block is ideal for small areas such as closets, foyers, attics, cars, gym bags, boats, kitchens, garbage cans, cupboards or vents. ... The ONA Block measures 3″ x 3″ and will fit in most places. The ONA Block will release its powerful odor neutralizing agent and keep the location free from undesirable odors.[/quote]

What chemical is released into the grow? Without this I would not use it, and may not with it. The carbon filters are safe, this may not be.

I found this when I searched for if the ona was safe, I didn't even need to read it to make the decision not to use it, I trust Sirius and Nebula hope I spelled his name correctly lol

Edit= Oops forgot to put the link SMH dumbass
by Nebula Haze A lot of cannabis growers are worried about the odor of flowering (budding) cannabis plants, and may be trying to avoid letting smells leak out of the grow room. Many of you may have heard of "ONA Gel" or other ONA products. ONA products don't just cover up smells, they actually get rid of them permanently!

It's not meant to go in your grow room. I'm pretty sure it's basically to help mask the odor of growing or smoking so you use it in the car, kitchen, living room, etc. Pretty much places where you might get visitors that you would rather not know that you're smoking and/or growing pot. More along the lines of helping to mask the scent in specific areas versus deodorizing the scent from the air at the source. They were probably designed for shit like locker rooms to help with body odor and someone figured they could make a lot of money by marketing to growers/smokers. It's just another patchouli, air freshener, Glade plug-in, Febreze, etc. and not a true tool for weed growers in my opinion.

You can smell ganja when you step out of the vehicle in my driveway most of the time, a couple of these blocks wouldn't do shit to combat that. I don't get any visitors that I try to hide it from either though or else I'd have carbon filters which will work much, much better than the blocks. If you're someone who has to keep it hidden at all costs though it might be worth grabbing a few to put around the house before company comes over to help with any stray scents wafting from your ladies that your carbon filter can't quite scrub clean.

I am not so concerned about visitors. Mostly just worried about our neighbors complaining about the smell since we live in a duplex and my room with the plants shared a wall with them. Want to stop any potential problems. My budget is tight and haven't found a way to afford the carbon scrubber.

Gotcha, you NEED a carbon filter then. Do you have a duct fan?
