Found some spider mites today. I have some Monterey Garden Insect Spray with Spinosad it says on the site you can add this to the roots. Can I use this in my DWC set up? If so what is the ratio per gallon of water? I like the idea of treating the plant internally more than spraying. Maybe both?

i'm not to versed in the dwc but in soil you can spray on the plant and use it in the soil to kill them in there too. i ordered some from amazon but wasn't going to get here in time so i used captain jack deadbug. contains spinosad. i sprayed on leaves and soil and worked for the thrips. also used a no pest strip but be careful with that.

I've had limited success with spinosad for mites. I've also used azdarachtin which works well but it's systemic so it takes a while. If the plants are mobile, I'd recommend taking them in the shower and spraying them off. This will mechanically remove a majority of the mites if you do it right. You can then add preventatives and such.
Good luck with them... they're called the borg for a reason...

I used Captain Jack's Deadbug Brew with Spinosad and it did nothing. Then I used Monterey Gardens and that really knocked back the mites but not completely. If you have the ability to keep your grow room temps under 72 and a strong fan blowing across the plant, the mites seem to go dormant. They don't seem to be laying eggs or feeding. I am finding an occasional live mite in the past two weeks since I treated the plants but they are not multiplying. I'm about 3 weeks from harvest and don't want to spray them any more than I have to.
So, once you get them under control or even think you've gotten rid of them, use temps and air flow to keep them from coming back.I like big buds and I can not lie.
