What a week. Growing has been so wonderful to come home to. And thanks to all for stopping by!
We're one week after flip, White has shown a single white pistil, Black and Blue are still undecided but their little preflowers are still pointier than ball shaped. I'm sorry I can't get a good pic of it.
I hope I'm not doing this wrong: I started some of the clone-graduates straight into flower along with the adults. Inspired by the tutorial on supercropping and Green75 I bent this one over and am going to try to do a mini spiral. Should this kind of bending and staking be reserved for vegetation phase? Or will it work for a solo-type grow, early flip?3 PhotosNothing is foolproof for the sufficiently talented fool.

are you still interested in doing this, or even to individual shelves, if i read yr setup correctly? if so, i have a cheap rec that might work....reflectix. it's such a cool product that i use for a jillion things since i discovered it, and now about 3/4 of that jillion are growing related. it's SO easy to work with, super lightweight, reflective and insulating are bonuses...i have used it to make a "room within a room" in the closet that i turned in to a grow room. i also used it to try to better regulate temps and light during germination. i also use it as a quick and easy cat barrier any time i need to have an extra failsafe faux babygate to keep cats away from seedlings.... cut to fit, so lightweight i literally just toss it aside when it's being used as a gate. clearly i love the stuff, mainly for its versatility. oh yeah, and it can insulate your attic, your ducts, etc, if you need it to....

I thought about dividing the closet (I could use that stuff attached to sheets of cardboard) but I haven't come up with a door to seal off the flowering section perfectly while working outside with T5 blazing.
That stuff looks cool. Does it come in a rigid form? Instead I ordered a smaller tent that I can fit in the closet for flower. But if I can make a door with lightproof edges, I would be set.

White has one or two pistils showing, but is slow to really flower. Should I still be feeding Grow nutes?
Black is a boy. Pity, he's been the most vigorous grower, my first DWC. Here's a close up of the roots of a clone that was cut Feb 4th, rooted in a rapid rooter in the rotisserie cloner, after 10 days in the mini-tote bubbler, and the fine, fuzzy air roots from above the water line.
Blue looks like bananas. I hope I don't have a light leak, or that I'm trimming too sporadically.-too may at a time.

welp, i dunno, you could do a lot of doorlike or walllike things with that stuff, it's as flexible and lightweight as can be but also holds its shape if you don't roll it or bend it out too much... you could maybe use cardboard although i don't think that would hold its shape over the long run. maybe some small animal fencing? like the 24" or 36" or 48" by however many feet that you can get at home depot or lowes....that's what i'm using cuz it's what i had on hand. you could also make a frame out of say 1"x4s and use bungees or twine to maintain girth/shape... if that doesn't make sense PM me and i'll try to do a hand drawing..."i try to play the ball not the opponent."--Roger Federer

Brief update, sorry it's been a while. Thank you to all who are still following along. I have someone coming to interview for a job in my business, and staying in my home for a 3 days. So the cleaning frenzy has been fierce, and stealth-ifying my closet is still on-going. I have until Sunday afternoon. No stress.
Great tip from bobsakamoto- REFLECTIX is great for insulation, reflective surface, light barrier, AND sound barrier! It's semi-rigid and cuts with scissors, and light weight. If it needs to be more rigid, you can glue-stick or even tape it to cardboard. Cool shit, man.
White and White jr. are doing well, 2 weeks into flower, starting to grow the skinny fingers with a few pistils, poking out from the new leaves. YAY!
2 clones from White are going to live with friends, one in a Kratky jar to be transplanted into a bucket, and the other in soil, but not until I cut some more clones off of her for myself as back-up in case White jr fails to re-veg after harvest. I would like to keep the very top clone in perpetuity, if I can. I'm not sure it matters, I can't really tell it apart from bottom clones that are still showing symmetrical growth.
I tore out all the boys. I considered keeping a small boy-clone, but I have 2 seeds left, and little desire to grow my own seeds at this point. I did get a good look at the roots from Black (RDWC grow) as well as Black jr's roots after 10 days in the rotisserie cloner and 10 days in the mini-tote.
I also started an Auto AK (Canuck) and Moby Dick CBD (Dinafem). Good experience with True North Seeds, I will start a new journal chronicling their adventures after this busy week and weekend.
Algae sure has been going around lately. I had a short episode in the mini-tote which freaked me out because I had my 2 new seedlings in the mini-tote too. I pulled White jr out for a check, and her roots were a little brown and slimy. AAAGGH! I quickly read through alltatups post and all the great advice she got. I drained the mini-tote and filled it with ph'd water, hydrogard and CalMag, mixed in some SLF 100 (hydrogen peroxide product) and let it run for an hour. I scrubbed down rest of the parts of the bin, flushed out her roots with the dish rinser in the kitchen sink, clay balls and cup with more of that mix, fresh, and let it drain straight out into the sink. Then I placed her into a jar with bubbles and double-dose hydrogard for quarantine. As of this morning, she was still clean and fresh when I handed her off to her new daddy. What's funny is that she is going to live off of water from a duck pond.
Moby went back into the clean mini-tote until she goes into her regular tote, AK Auto went into a cup with coco-soil-perlite. Since she's an auto, and is meant for rapid yield by herself, I decided she should be self-contained and fairly explanatory.
Thanks for reading and sharing your experiences, I'm deeply grateful to you all.6 PhotosNothing is foolproof for the sufficiently talented fool.

I have to keep keeping this short-only during breaks, lunch, etc. But I'm making excellent progress on cleaning the house and stealthifying the grow.
Closer-up of White jr in natural light, White-top (the actual top that I cloned to maintain as a mother) I will top her when she has 8 nodes: 3 or 4 for the top to clone again, and 2 bottom clones will leave 2 nodes for 4 growth tips that can be trained out wide and flat, but will also go live with a friend.
Also baby-pics of Moby Dick CBD and AK Auto, about 5 days in. Also roots coming out of Moby, I was worried that the previous algae scare would rear it's head again, so far, so good.
This waiting shit is hard.4 PhotosNothing is foolproof for the sufficiently talented fool.

Thanks to all still following: long delay, brief update. I just hired my first associate for my business, and shit just got real for me here in real life.
4 weeks into flower for Dairy Queen and her jr. Lots of small buds growing all over the place rather than fewer large colas, I over did it with FIM. This is still my first, so there's time. She's not getting much taller. I think it's too late to schwazz. The pistils are starting to get tiny fuzz.
I now have both 300watt (eq) GalazyHydro LEDs going on them. They seem happy, no burns, and the closet isn't getting too hot.
Moby Dick CBD is already huge! Like 8 inches across the 2nd pair of leaves. I moved her to a real bucket.
Dairy Queen Clone Mother, got topped and cloned. I'm doing the top and the two bottom branches to see if I can maintain the true top of this plant, and then the rest will go to friends.
AK Auto is now in a 3 gal smart pot, and I'm torn whether I'm going to top her or not. She just started her 4th node.

Another quick update:
Buds are slowly fattening, and getting a little glitter! Here's a close up of White Jr, the mini clone grow. She was originally cut from her mother on January 12th, and grown in coco-perlite-soil blend, and went into flower with her mother on Feb 4 or 5, so we're 4 weeks in.
This has got to be the hardest part of growing. Waiting for ripeness sucks, and there isn't as much to do, like training, adjusting, and basically messing around with it. And I keep running out of dispensary pot, hoping that each 1/8th will be the last that I buy because I'll have my endless supply.
Good thing I started more seeds and clones!2 PhotosNothing is foolproof for the sufficiently talented fool.
