HELP! left in ground too long

good morning, well my first i thought went well but does not look or smell good. After following the steps, the hanging the jarring, the waiting. If you open the jars there is no smell.
It was suggested earlier I waited oto long to take them down. I did trim them on the tree, waited a week before cutting them down and hanging. Could this be why there is no smell in the jar?
    live and learn.....................thanks

Is it dry to the touch? Do you have hydrometer in your jar?

My guess would be they got way too dry. I forgot the exact amount but curing stops somewhere between 50-55% and I believe that is where you develop your taste and smell.

Yeah I believe you are right Xena too dry to cure correctly, I think Nebula said at 50% it stops the cure. potady do you have other MJ that is still moist? If so you can mix it together and steal some moisture from the other one, or even some stems that are wet cut em up small enough that it will be easy to separate from the weed. All else fails I've used orange peels and flour tortillas but you have to be careful mold is possible with any of these
