    HiGrade app

So I know a few of you got this as well. I figured why the hell not? I was just curious how everyone else is liking it so far? I just got mine today and I think I've tested almost everything I have already. Lowest was 17%, highest was 22% and a lot of 18% and 20%. Anyone have results higher than 22% yet? Or lower than 17%? I'm just curious about the accuracy still, trying to see if your results are similar to mine. If not, maybe we can help them improve with a little feedback or something, who knows.

I have one also. I've had readings as high as 22% and as low as 15%. I don't use it regularly to check thc levels because it's just a point in space measurement. I would usually check 3 separate buds with 1 picture each. The camera itself comes in handy for checking trichome color. I was using it once to check color when all of sudden a spider mite that I thought were all gone come marching along my field of view. I sprayed them again. lol

I thought about the 3 separate buds thing too. I feel like that gives a more accurate test for the entire plant instead of just one bud. I only used one bud each time though, this time.

I have the Hi Grade app. I got the same general results as everyone else. Is it the app or are we seeing that a lot of strains have that same 16%-23% THC range? Getting ready to harvest my indoor grow and the outdoor grow is curing. So I'll be testing again soon.

I'm almost tempted to grab some dispensary buds to compare their percentage with the HiGrade app, almost. If it wasn't so expensive I definitely would.

Seems like we’re all in the same range. I tell everyone that I’m not sure how accurate it is measuring thc but it passes the smoke test. The only discrepancy I’ve had is I grew a Gorilla Glue auto a while back that test at 26% thc. It gets me about as high as others I have that test around 17% thc. I’ve tested several buds at different test and they all test 24% to 26% but mostly 26%. Now I have some Gorilla Glue from a photo I grew that only test at 18% thc but it blows the auto away on the smoke test. I also grew some Bruce Banner that test at 20% thc and it gets me so damn high it’s unsettling lol.....it gives me something to aim for grow to grow but not sure if I’ll renew it once my subscription is over. Still have 8 months so we’ll see

HiGrade provides you with instant cannabis testing straight from your smartphone. Check your bud’s THC level, know its quality, or simply be more mindful about the product you consume.

The app itself is worthless unless you pay for the upgrade you can’t even use it. With the upgrade the send you a scope that you slip over the camera which allows you to take pics of your buds and they’ll grade the quality and thc. If you take a pic and submit it for plant problems you get a very basic and general answer so a person isn’t actually looking at it and giving you their professional opinion as described. That’s the only part I felt disappointed about but I didn’t get it for that so no big deal. I just believe it’s bs that they say you can submit pics of plants symptoms and someone will look at it then give you a response and you get a general script that you can tell was ore written to cover most issues.

How can they tell the THC content from a picture?

They compare certain visual characteristics of your pictures to a database of lab certified thc content pictures. What is not accounted for, I think, is terpenes and perhaps the overall cannabinoid profile. Or not.
