First Time Grower. Leaves with spots and curled upwards

Hi. First time growing. Checking for some guidance.
Pot size is 2.5 liters, growing in a mix of 25% coco noir, 20% pumice stone, 15% earthworm humus and 40% brown peat. Both, with a 50W led light, at a distance of 4", for 10 to 12 hours indoors in an open room, and 6 to 8 hours of sunlight. Total 18 hours per day.

The first one has 25 days since it popped out of the soil (unknown seed), slow growing, few brown spots on the leaves and cotyledons are yellow and falling. Has 5 nodes now, but the top leaves are curling up and crawled down, 5 days ago. Watering every 5 to 6 days around 400ml, just water, no nutrients.

The other one is a Gigabud feminized seed, 11 days since it popped out. Leaves curling up and a few spots on the leaves. First normal watering 3 days ago, around 450ml. Same than the other one, just water, no nutrients.

Nutrient deficiency or something else? Just learning before buying a proper setup.

I appreciate the help in advance.

Hey, thanks, pH is 6.5. 400ml to 450ml every 5 to 6 days. The small one, just 11 days, first normal watering 3 days ago, same 400ml. Until it feels dry about an inch deep like I've read in several places, drainage is fine, little runoff water drain out, not using nutrients.

Your info looks good. Maybe start adding half strength nutes. Something with nitrogen.

like gigerbread said nutes also learn to gauge pot weight when dry wet for watering its a better guide also keep an eye on pot size u probably need to repot to 5gallon if femenised mate good luck

Thanks for the help. Leaves at the bottom, first node, are very yellowish now. What is considered half strength nutrients? I have 3 options for now at my local store.
            1. Granulated Nitrogen - N=39% S=3%
            2. Granulated Complete Fertilizer - N=12% P5O2=8% K2O=16% - 0.5MgO + 1S + TE
            3. Very Tiny Granulated Complete Fertilizer (Size almost like sand) - N=30% P5O2=10% K2O=10% - NJ=15% NN=7% NA=7%

Which one would be better, and safest way to apply it? Cause in the package says to be careful of nitrogen toxicity if it touches the main stem.

I would go with num3 mate looks balanced but u need to get better nutes in future for veg flower seperate ones are better plus try and get another one with moree potassium aand phousphrous to add in flower mate and powder feeds are a lot stronger and take longer to absorb into plant

Hey, thanks. I have one that I bought for flowering, It's for orchids flowering, a purple liquid, but looking at the label, It says N-2% P-3% K-2% Mn-0.0055% Bo-0.0025% Fe0.011%.
Can I use that for Veg too? I already found a good pack of nutrients for cannabis (all stages), for my next batch.

Know if you are using fertilizer or supplements. Fertilizers are the banquets your plants feed on. Supplements are the wafer thin mints, toothpicks, and napkins that round everything out for a more pleasurable dining experience.

Hehe, good analogy, well fed now . Tried those nuts, worked for one but didn't work for the other, it died, guess bad seed after all. I repotted the Gigabud to a 4 gallon pot and its doing well. Already 9 nodes growing the 10th, 36 days total by now. I began training last week, 7 side colas sticking out. Photos an hour before lights out.

Should I top it or not?
Do I prune the fan leaves, how much? Searching on blogs, I've seen people remove all the main stem fan leaves, other some and others none.

And just out of curiosity, if anyone knows, couldn't find straight answers on several guides for this.
How many nodes if left alone has the main cola?
With just LST, the side colas you get, are similar to the ones topping and main-lining, or the colas are thicker with the latter?

Topping is up to you. It's personal. Everything is a little personal how people do things. You'll get to finding out what works best. If you grow more than one plant at a time, you can do something different to each one.

How many nodes a plant has left is personal to the strain. As are what training works best.

My answers are vague but chock full of twoish years of growing.
