    Trichomes

I lost track of my weeks in flower I believe there 6 weeks in since the first appearance of flowers I tried downloading a magnifier to my phone is it me or can you not see if the trichomes are milky will a jeweler's loop be better?

Still 2-3-4 weeks to go I would guess. Looks very clear from the not so close up pic, but you also have an extreme amount of white hairs, which is more common in the early and mid stages of flowering.

Phone or jewels loop, whichever gets you a clear image of the trichome heads. I'll use both, whichever is closest to me. I do prefer the loop for a tight inspection of the leaf though, mine is 10-100x magnification.

Yeah I will get a jeweler's loop I read that some strains the hairs can still be mostly white even when it's ready to harvest so I wanted to use the trichome method this is strawberry og growing in a organic medium with 2 600w full spectrum LEDs thanks for replying

Absolutely, go from the trichomes for determining the proper time to harvest. Some strains, not many, but some strains can have the ratio of white hairs like yours at the end, but again, not many. You're right though, ignore the hairs, look at trichome heads.

They look like they are going to be nice buds and I bet they'll smoke great (when ready). Thick and frosty they shall be!

Good call Poppa . I prefer to call mine white. But I have mostly a red beard which makes it all-to-hell confusing when I see a real long red hair growing amongst the other, more modest length bud hairs.

About high magnification loupes. The higher the magnification, the harder it is to use. The first one I bought was a fancy little number I couldn't used unless I removed, from the plant, what I wanted to look at, set it on a table, and held super still. Don't quite remember the magnification. The one I have is a 40x25. Even with my shaky hands, I can hold lens to bud easy enough.

The color of your trichomes will look different in different light types. The sun is the worst because everything always looks clear. Ambient daylight or a well lit room does the trick for me.
        C'mon, mule!
