    probably a dumb question but...

im having a hell of a hard time finding oscillating fans for my grow boxes. everything local are huge stand fans that are way more than i can fit in my 4x4 or 2x2 boxes. when looking around amazon im not finding anything that seems viable aside from the vivosun fans that all the reviews say fall apart after a few weeks... so any suggestions? even just somewhere better than amazon to look im bout to pull my hair out, improving air flow to discourage these damn thrips from reproducing on my plants shouldnt be so difficult

Walmart has little metal blade USB fans, 4" and they are about $7. I've also tried some small 4" oscillating fans from Amazon, but they oscillate only when they want to...

I've got two of those Vivosun oscillating fans going in my tents with no problems. I've only had them six months, though. Clippy fans are one of those things that's good to have extras of just in case!

I'm having a little thrip invasion myself. I'm attacking with sticky traps and Lost Coast Plant Therapy.

Nope. They just cling to the pole and do their job. (Knock on wood.)

I have had a 4" Vivosun vent fan that died in spectacular fashion. Short-sighted design was to blame there.

i thought steady directional air flow risked wind burn? still new to all this

It does. I keep my fans above the lights and let the plants get their breezes indirectly.

Seriously, this time. Me and my buddy were talking about ventilation and circulation while dabbing a bunch of live resin. I did a quick google for 'small oscillating fans' and came up with quite a few.

Hurricane makes different sizes of wall mounted oscillating fans. They aren't super cheap. And there's always guaranteed returns, yeah? I like the clip-ons I have.

Yes! I have some Hurricane non-oscillating fans too for my smaller tents.

This one was at Walmart- $14. I have one in each tent as exhaust & the oscillating version in the flower tent. We also use one to circulate the air in the house.

I have also gotten great fans at the local thrift stores. Just take em apart & wipe em down w/ bleach water before you take em into your tents.
