HELP! Auto/Soil - Leaves Curling down and thin plus brown spots πŸ˜”

    Hey All,

Second time trying to grow here, doing much better than last time but it seems the babies are still growing quite slowly (week 5 now since germination). Recently I noticed that one of the plants leaves are relatively thin and curling down and back toward the plant except the very top growth which is pointing almost directly upwards at the light source. The other plant I have has started developing these brown spots on some leaves and the leaves seem to be going yellow in blocks between the veins and especially on the lower of the plant.

Soil is canna terra pro, growing indoors under a 150W CFL and a 100W LED board. I gave them some seaweed based fert the other day for the first time however the brown spots and curling was already present and has just continued to get worse. pH'ed water every 3-4 days. Fed them a seaweed based fertilizer the other day to see if that was the reason for the slow growth as they hadn't been fed yet but it's making the issue worse. Unsure if canna terra has nutes in it already that could have started burning them and I've exacerbated it. Was definitely happening prior to me adding the nutes bug has definitely made it worse. Have since flushed them both out with neutral water about a day or two ago.

Both are GSC autos and germinated 5 weeks ago.

    Thanks All! ☺️

To me it looks like they need more light, and plant b looks thirsty to me. For the lighting, just move them closer a few inches to start. For watering, at this point you should be watering the whole pot, not just partially. Lift the pots, I bet they're pretty light. Water until your pot won't hold more water, lift the pot and feel the weight. That will give you a general idea of what it feels like wet and dry, and should help you better determine when to water. Usually it's about 2-3 days between waters for me, even with my seedlings. Hope that helps.

Thanks so much, waiting on a second CFL to arrive and I'll mount both properly. I've taken them both outside into the sunshine for a bit and watered the whole pot ☺️ I'll let you know how they go! Thanks πŸ‘

Any time. I would suggest getting something better than CFLs. With those, you have to keep it pretty much right on the plant. You need something stronger or you're going to end up with a small plant with light, fluffy buds.
