    Big Seedling Mistake

I decided to use some sensi cal with my RO water fir my 1.5 week old seedlings. Accidentally put 2.5 mL instead of .25 mL in 500 mL water. Flushed with a gallon of water each pot. Root system hasn't gone beyond the rapid rooter. Replaced with new coco/periliye 50/50 Rapid rooter saturated with flushed RO water.

My question is did I handle this accident properly? What would you guys have done? I'll find out after work today how they are doing.

I think a flush was probably your only option. My suggestion would be to use no nutrients at all until they have an established root system. Seedlings need little more than light and water until they root themselves well. Hope it works itself out.

They're ok! Even thriving. Grew more. I'm relieved. Trying a feed tomorrow morning. Proper mix. My medium is completely dry and the rapid rooter is damp at best.

Nxt time try without the "rapid" rooter. Those things suck.

You just don't know how to use them. 100% success rate. After rapper towel germinating.

I never had to learn to use them- I know how to soak seeds til they sink then traight to the dirt. I too enjoy a 100% success rate. 🤠
But the reason I don't like em is how they hold onto moisture.
But hey- whatever gits ya to that Happy Harvest is doin it right! 🍻

Well then hopefully your "expertise" with the rapid rooter will work for you this time.

It's the only thing that saved my babies. Not disturbing the fragile roots helped substantially in repotting/flushing.
