    Auto or photo?

Hello guys anyone know if an auto can turn photo or maybe i got a mix up with seeds? I have got a jack herer (auto) that has been vegging for 6 weeks to this date in coco with a 20-4 cycle, it shows no signs of pre flower what i can tell yet but my second one is showing signs of flowering but is much smaller, i dont have time to just let it be and realise in a few weeks its an photo and not an auto, should i change the cycle to 18-16 maybe? The description from this seedbank says usually 9 weeks seed to harvest, so im thinking maybe they mixed up seeds or is it just a late bloomer? Growing under a 600w LED

Sounds like you got mixed seeds. I just finished growing 4 autos that were supposed to be Gorilla Glue. Three of them grew exactly the same so I hope they’re GG, the 4th plant ended up being close to a foot taller and the buds look completely different. I took a pic and sent it to the seed bank and they sent a list of 4 strains that it could be. As long as it’s not that CBD shit I’m cool lol

Ruderalis is the type of marijuana that makes autos bloom on a time schedule rather than a photo period. Ruderalis on its own is a weak pathetic little plant so it has been crossed with other photo plants to create genetic mutations with bigger buds and more THC while hopefully retaining the Auto characteristics. Often this crossing can produce seeds with similar traits but dominant gene traits can at times be a crap shoot. You may have come from the same sperm and eggs as your brother but you are not identical because of gene dominance. So what I'm saying in my long winded fashion is that there is a good chance that seed did not get passed the auto gene and instead inherited the photo side of the family.

I read it more and more, "my autos are not", whether they screwed up the order or just piss poor seed (as in bad breeding), floor sweep whatever.
If they sold an F1 cross between a photo and an auto, 25% will be photo, and IMHO bad/poor seed.

Thanks for answers guys! Im going to wait 6 more days and if it does not show any signs of pre flower i will switch the cycle to 12-12, but how will my autos that are actually autos do in a 12-12 cycle? I do not have the option to solo grow the big one :/

All of the autos I have done started flowering at 3 weeks old, I read some take up to 5 weeks.

Rwise I'm sorry to intrude on this thread but you seem to have a good amount of experience with autos. Do you think autos are better suited to indoor grows or can they do well in outdoor containers? I've done a few outdoors but they always seem to take longer than what I hear about in controlled light environments.
