So close I can taste it

So a couple of the ladies are getting close to being ready. They're due for a watering but really think they'll be ready in a couple of days. Should I water or is it better to let soil dry out before harvest?

I like to stop watering 3-5 days before harvest. Letting the soil dry out will help the plant lose some moisture slowly and will begin the process of curing while on the plant. After chopping it down I hang it for a week or two depending on temperatures and humidity and then when the bud branches snap instead of bending, I’ll trim off the big leafs and sugar leafs. Cut off buds, put in mason jars for final curing process.
If you bend you will be less likely to break.
